- The guys' dispute with their famous neighbor becomes entwined with a renewed investigation into their previous home's destruction. Meanwhile, Damien and Rachel vie for the same judgeship and Stanton's feud with Rob Lowe comes to a head.
- Rob Lowe's PA subpoenas Pindar for alleged drone spying in his estate. Encouraged by Stanton in feud-logic, the boys defend him, proving the drone didn't move illegally and even demand it back, which the judge grants provided Pindar's notebook is forensically checked, which is ruled not an invasion on his privacy. The insurance company next challenges the duo's den fire payment, as Pindar's notebook proves he has been playing with fire, albeit an indoor party trick. Meanwhile Damien is grilled by the committee to fill a bench opening, and feels betrayed as Rachel also applies and dirt was spilled which can only come from Stanton, whose alleged nepotism is Karp's other Achilles heel. Stanton negotiates a feud end with Rob Lowe's PA, even if that requires returning the samurai sword he 'borrows back' from the duo.—KGF Vissers
- Open with Bash talking to Charlie about her being at Rob Lowe's house. She says she's friends with Lowe's wife.
Bash tells Franklin and Carmen he's upset he and Charlie never had a "middle" to their relationship. He needs a film-like montage moment. Lowe's assistant Gregg stops by and asks Pindar why he was spying on his boss using a drone. Lowe is suing Pindar for invasion of privacy. Pindar tells the guys he was doing a sweep of the neighborhood looking for a package he never received. The guys are excited about giving Lowe the fight he's interested in.
Karp tells King a female judge is leaving the bench and he's about to interview. He thinks it's about to happen for him. The two have sex. Afterwards the guys confront Karp about the fact he smells like sex and wonder who in the office it might have been.
Infeld has had a long-standing feud with Lowe. He wants to have first chair but the guys tell him that would probably make things difficult with opposing counsel. They tell Infeld that Pindar didn't do anything illegal and are planning to counter-sue since Lowe won't return the drone.
In court the guys demonstrate how Pindar's drone could been blown off course towards Lowe's property. They challenge that Lowe brought it down using an app. Lowe's lawyer assures the judge that Lowe did not shoot down the drone and will happily give it back to Pindar if he'll allow a search of his computer to prove he wasn't taking paparazzi-type pictures. Pindar doesn't like the invasion of privacy but the judge insists.
Karp is interviewed by a panel of judges. After a few standard questions they begin asking things that only his uncle could possibly know.
After the review of his computer the case against Pindar is dismissed. After the decision Infeld tells Lowe's lawyer that he's ready for their final confrontation.
Bash writes a song for Charlie entitled "Don't Go, Hate You Going." He writes the title in the sand and prepares to sing it to her from the beach below. Unfortunately just as Bash he calls her to come out Carmen and Franklin run up to say Charlie's ex and daughter just walked into the house. They begin to cover up the words, leaving "Go, Hate You." It doesn't go over well.
An insurance investigator named JD stops by and tells Pindar he's looking into the settlement the received after the fire. Footage was pulled off of Pindar's computer of him performing a magic trick using flash paper on the day of the fire. The insurance company is re-opening its investigation of what caused the fire.
The guys tell Pindar they're upset he lied to them. But he's adamant that he had nothing to do with the fire.
Infeld meets with Lowe's assistant. Greg says Lowe will meet with Infeld if he gives back his sword. We learn that the sword Infeld's always talking about is actually a movie prop given to Lowe by Tom Cruise.
Karp is furious at Infeld for sabotaging him with the panel. Infeld says he had no idea he was even being questioned and couldn't possible have told the judges. But he tells Karp that he did tell those stories to someone else. Cut to King sitting in front of the same judge panel. It seems she's going for the bench as well.
After Carmen explained the misunderstanding Charlie goes to see Bash. The two share a drink on the beach.
During a function for the summer associates a drunken Karp arrives and outs King for screwing him over with the committee. She says that her preference is to remain with the firm, but is keeping her options over.
After some office ping pong the guy meet with JD. After a number of interviews he's learned that they've repeatedly referenced Pindar burning down the house. They tell him the comments were simply jokes but JD is now going after conspiracy to commit arson.
Carmen calls the guy with word that as a teen in India Pindar was charged with stealing explosives. Pindar tells the guys it was kids playing with fireworks, but the guys are worried about JD getting his hands on the info.
After discussing her interview with JD, Bash and Charlie end up in the bedroom together. Afterwards she tells Bash she doesn't want to say good-bye, "because that would mean it's over."
The next morning Bash wakes up to find Charlie gone. Franklin wonders if perhaps JD is simply a Rob Lowe fan-boy.
The guys bring Pindar to a meeting with King. She's suspending the guys without pay. Karp walks in and says that another woman got the judgeship. Franklin suggests to Bash that they tell JD they were the ones who started the fire.
During the interview the guys confess to the starting the fire by using St. Elmo's Fire dialogue. They claim to have evidence and start a video which shows JD stalking Lowe for an autograph. The guys tell JD's superior that he's been exploiting the case to complete his autograph collection.
During their latest party Infeld stops by and says the case against the guys and Pindar has been dropped. Apparently Pindar called the insurance and had offered to confess to help the guys. Carmen says she hasn't seen Pindar and they go to his room. They find a good-bye note, then see that Pindar is hiding in the closet. Lowe drops by the party with Pindar's drone. He and Infeld hash out their issues and seem to come to an understanding.
