Pure anti-Putin propaganda.
I was expecting a documentary about the Romanov family, what I got was "Russia, the backward nation that should be more like Germany." There is commentary about Russia's "Tatar roots" and how the Romanov family were murdered because they wouldn't change with the times. In other words, the left have a right to murder others if they don't do what the left demand. This nonsense documentary was made by several Germans, so it's little wonder why Russians have "Tatar roots" rather than Rus, Viking, and Slavic roots. Tatars are an Islamic group that come from the south of what is today the Russian Federation. Russia defeated them and colonised that part of Asian the Tatars come from. How does that make the Russians themselves have Tatar roots? The documentary is really about several German film making propagandists telling people that Russia is bad because it's governed by the anti-globalist Putin, who doesn't kiss EU/US behind.
