- "20th Anniversary of my first film titled '01' produced in 2004. '01' is an experimental documentary about the new possibilities of the digital camera and a train journey from Sant Celoni to Barcelona early in the morning on a Thursday of October 14, 2004. The static movement of people within the train as an endless beautiful blue hour unfolds during an ordinary workday. The idea for the film was inspired by the discovery of Abbas Kiarostami's film 'Five Dedicated to Ozu' from 2003 and by the need to explore my first Sony DVCam 170 camera that I had bought on installments. My intention was to shoot a one-hour long take coinciding with the duration of the journey to Barcelona and with the maximum recording time of the miniDV tape. 20 years later, I return to '01' to celebrate my birth as a filmmaker by reediting this new version, '01 Redux'."—Carles Asensio
