A missed chance
smiling-buffo7 April 2014
I usually have hope for the new episodes of the simpsons, although I have to say the older episodes are generally better, I don't hate the newer simpsons.

That being said I just felt disappointed with this episode. So much subplots going, that felt like they were just there to fill time. And none of them truly paid off. When I finished watching, I just sat there feeling:'what was the point of that?'

There were some funny moments, and Bart's side-story where he bonded with Snake was heartwarming. To me it felt like they should've just done a whole episode about that, sadly this part has been reduced to a series of gags.

So yeah it just really felt like a missed chance and a flawed episode.

6/10

Im not giving up hope yet though, there has been some standout episodes this season.

Funny with a Great Guest Star,

Luca$ is a great Simpsons episode with a well written storyline and loads of very funny scenes.I really enjoyed Zach Galifanakis's guest voice in this episode, they made great use of his comedic voice and I didn't feel like he was overused or underused. As is the case with several Simpsons episodes,I preferred the side story to the main storyline,I really liked seeing Bart protect Snake from the law and it easily could have been a full episode,my favourite scene was definitely the part at the police station.Luca$ is a very enjoyable Simpsons episode that is funny and entertaining.

Marge panics when Lisa starts dating a competitive eater, while Bart befriends local criminal Snake.
