Official Selection of the Barcelona International Film Festival in 2007, the year of it's release, in the Festival's brand new International Music Video category of the Festival. Per MECAL INternational: "The music videos selected in this category are considered significant representations of the most creative music videos of the past several years." (Meanwhile, the same music video was banned in several other territories.)
When Melody is channel surfing on her bedroom TV, the skeletal politician speaking behind the podium that Melody stops on briefly is a direct homage to a scene in John Carpenter's "They Live."
Daft Punk makes a cameo in the music video at the 0:50 second mark, as "skeletal" versions of their robotic selves.
The music video was originally conceived as a short film by Tony Gardner.
