An average ending to the perfect season

Let me start with saying how good of a season that was! They managed to actually cast queens from around the globe and give us a really diverse cast full of powerhouses and Gothy Kendoll. The only flaw I would give to the season is having so many comedy-focused challenges when there are ESL (English Second Language) queens which can affect their overall performance.

Let's get to the final. The reunion was.. cute? I wish Jonbers and Scarlet were more vocal as their eliminations were so recent so it could have been a bigger moment. The lip-syncs were kind of messy but I wouldn't call them boring. I feel like Marina's elimination was so weird as her storyline was backing her up as the clear winner. Tia Kofi is a good winner but maybe not the perfect one? An AMAZING queen but I feel like she needs some more time to cook her art.

All things considered it was a very good season with very few flaws that can be easily fixed but they also casted literal legends so it could not be a bad one.

Favoritism and full of Rigga Morris

I was so sad to see Marina "lose" the lip-sync even if she won it with all that editing. It was so hurtful to watch when Ru said Marina lost the lip-sync. All the effort, her track record and the money she had put to her looks were wasted because of an edited lipsync battle against her. And with all that edit, she still clearly won. And Tia with La Granda Dame... I mean come on! It was obvious that LGD embodied the song. Her part as well was edited and mostly it was about Tia. I love Tia but she was too chaotic and her lipsync was meh. I don't know why they did all that. This season i was so happy that everything was going smoothly not like the previous disgraced season. And in the end, they just effed it up for everyone. I hope any of the international queens in their right mind will ever agree to be in UKvsTheWorld.

Congrats to Tia Kofi! Deserving winner. 4 wins within 8 episodes is excellent!

Yes the result was not what many had expected. But let's break it down: Hanna slayed Marina fair and square. Marina took a back seat and Hannah dominated - I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Then Tia fairly beat LGD. And then Hannah seemed asleep in the second lip sync, when Tia pulled out all the stops. So if we are judging it how the game is supposed to be played, then Tia is the rightful winner.

Sure it's a shame Marina didn't do better in the finale, but it is what it is. Not everyone excels every day. Go support your queens - buy the merch or tickets for the ones you love and ignore the ones you don't.

Disappointing finale

So overall I didn't enjoy much this season. Felt some favoritism against UK queens through all the season. Also the "reunion" was ok but nothing interesting. The finale lipsyncs were bad in my opinion. I thought Marina clearly won over Hannah. Hannah gave a great moment at the beginning of the lipsync and that was it, while Marina was edited half the lipsync out and still she did better in my opinion. Then I thought LGD clearly won over Tia, she gave more the vibe of the song and gave a great attitude while I found Tia a bit chaotic. The final lipsync was ok, the best moment was LGD lipsyncing to the french part and Hannah. Predictable winner, seems like the BBC doesn't want to make a non UK queen the winner.

Fabulous all round fun

Honestly the best season finale for a long long time, camp comedy queens rising to the top, all 4 finalists were amazing. I don't understand the hate. It's a game show. But if you want a laugh out loud fun time then this is definitely worth it. Overall this is one of the best seasons beating even some of the mediocre all stars seasons. I don't care what anyone says about editing or even the production: the Executive producer is RUPAUL, and her name is ON THE TITLE OF THE SHOW. Its not a democracy, it's a SHEMOCRACY, and SHE is the one who chose your winner. Instead of taking it out on the winning queen, take your hate elsewhere, and do better.

The Riggory is Insulting

The program obviously favored contestants during this final episode to the point that it is insulting. The manipulation and blatant favoritism is unfair to the queens. Forget about the viewers because fandom will always be subjective and fans will have their own bets, BUT it is the queens (more so, the winning queen) who suffers the backlash from of the viewers and fans during a time that should be celebratory. It's very unfair to them. The outcome of this season is the worst to date. Lipsyncs were edited to some other's advantage. It's very obvious who should have won, and that's why the outcome is very controversial. In my opinion, production did very bad and poor decisions on this finale.

The Ru-union episode was meh. The lip sync smackdown was boring having to cut out all the amazing parts and show the judges instead.

Terrible Finale

I think when you decide to do a competition format, it's crucial to pay attention to your own proposal. It's common to hear people reacting to the show's injustices with 'it's just a TV show,' which often serves as an excuse for injustices committed by the program for reasons hidden from the public.

Well, if the idea is to do whatever you want, patting the chosen drags on the back for some reason, then go ahead and make a variety show, try different formats. But when you choose a competition, it's essential to be at least fair and coherent and respect the audience's intelligence.

In this regard, the finale of this season is yet another example of how the audience is treated with disrespect. The editing of the lip-syncs that decide the crown clearly favors the narrative the producers intend to tell. Look, if the judges really saw something the audience didn't, then release the full lip-syncs on the internet, for example, so we can see these angles.

Now, with all due respect to the drag queens and in recognition of the effort it takes for each to be on that stage, the level Marina has reached this season is extraordinary, unparalleled excellence in all departments of drag art. The concept of LGD and what she delivers on the runway is high art and sophistication. It's inconceivable that all of this is discarded for someone who flounders in lip-syncs as if it's their first time in drag.

What happened this season in terms of favoritism is horrifying. A sad milestone for the program.

Wow, they crowned Bran the Broken?!

Seriously, no hate towards the queens (I love them all and they've grown so much from their original season)

But this episode is the equivalent of Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 6. If you're setting someone to be crowned at the end, make sure you lay out a proper arc for their coronation (Downfall, Redemption, Coronation), not just let the producers to swoop in last episode and say "who has a better story, than Bran the Broken?"

The writing felt like all the writers who have worked on the earlier episodes died on the writing room, and then suddenly Benioff and Weiss walked into the room on gunpoint and told to finish the season.

Unbelievable

One of the top seasons ruined by the most forced winner ever. I haven't seen this riggory in s long while. We know who should've won, suport your fave queens.

The fact that they pushed the winner like this is unbelievable, I loved her and the redemption storyline but gurl....

I sincerely hope the producers and RuPaul get the flack they deserve for this joke of a finale. I love Tia and Hanna Conda but we all know that Marina Summers should've been crowned: she brought it EVERY SINGLE TIME on the runway and in the challenges. I loved the cast and they did well, but this was beyond Season 1's elimination of Pagina where at least it was contestant vs. Contestant. Hannah was amazing but she didn't win that lip sync, periodt.

At least Marina Summers will have an amazing career and the unfortunate title of THE robbed queen of this show.

Cancelling my subscription to Wow for this.

The riggory is real

Such a downfall from a very delightful season. The editing should really be blamed with how they pushed for certain characters to have the crown even if they know who should have won. If you are gonna invite international queens but don't want them to win, don't invite them at all.

The first lip sync was already edited to hell with how little screentime was shown for Marina. The top rooted queen, wherein other queens are giving her standing ovations got booted. It's a real shame.

Don't invest in watching this series especially if they will just rig the ending to get their own narrative. They know who should have won, who is deserving.

I Was Rooting for Marina

This episode did a weird job of setting up Tia and Marina as the top 2, and they should have stuck through with that.

Last season I stopped watching when Pangina was eliminated, and this season I should've stopped when Marina was. Now I'm not saying Tia isn't talented, but each of the lip syncs in this episode I thought the other person won. She had an excellent showing across the season, held herself with grace, and represented her country beautifully. It was truly a lost opportunity to give this Phillipinna queen the win and give UK vs. The World a hit of diversity.

To me, Tia Kofe just doesn't have winner energy, Marina does.

Amazing season but they rigged it again at the end

Just cancel the whole UKVSTheWorld series at this point if you only want to give the UK Queens the crown.

From the alright reunion, to the gorgeous runways....the season finale falls apart as soon as we reach the lip syncs. We had seen it coming though. Tia Kofi being favored in the later half of the season due to the rest of the UK Queens being just straight up outclassed by the international girls. Given wins she didn't deserve, and saved from BTM2's that she should've obtained. It all culminates in the lip syncs, where the editors try their hardest to justify her winning her lip syncs despite objectively losing them in the eyes of the fans.

If you want to crown UK Queens only, then cancel UKVstheworld, and keep to your main UK Drag Race.

Meh!

The season actually started om pretty well and it was quite exiting to wait week after week, what the queens will offer next.

At some point decisions started to make no sense anymore, as the less talented queen (depending on the challenge) was favored and that isn't fair for the others queens who did more or less well too.

It would have been more fun to watch if everything was judged fairly and no favoratism games were played. It made the whole season less interesting, since it was clear who was favored/pushed to win.

The last episode lipsyncs were either strongly edited or were once again (surprise, surprise), not fairly judged.

That's unfortunate and sad...
