After a brilliant episode 5, it was going to be hard to keep up the standard.

It is a quality episode but does seem a bit twee of an ending unless it is to be the last episode.

It might be good to end it here.

Happy Valley came back for a third season which was never as good as the previous seasons (but still better than most of the dross on TV last year) and I would hate such a good show to be tainted by going on for too long.

It was a riveting installment but just a bit too glossy with everything falling in to place for the main characters as well as the good people of The Loyal Pub.

Would love to see more but only if thd quality remains.

What a Blast

Series 2 of Blue Lights was such a blast to watch. They really upped the ante this time round. Series 1 was decent and something new, but I think in series 2 the show has found its footing. I do really like most of the characters in the show, especially the main 4 of Tommy, Annie, Grace and Stevie. They were all really good and they all had moments to shine. Canning and Shane were also good, Canning's dirty tactics to get what he wants were so good to watch and Shane was a breath of fresh air. Our main antagonist this series was Lee Thompson was excellent, he's not your typical villain and his story arc was interesting to watch. My favourite moment was when Tommy got attacked in the club, it was so well executed and that whole last 30 minutes of that episode was so good. Even in this episode the scenes with the riot were so good. The last 15 minutes of this episode were also great and its ended on a happy note.
