Catherine Jensen has been with Pittsburgh PD homicide for six months. When a woman's body is found at an old abandoned mill site, Jensen suspects that they are dealing with a serial killer. Her superior, Lt. Dunn, thinks otherwise and tells her to let it go and move on. She persists and with the help of psychologist Thomas Schaeffer finds several other bodies, thereby proving her point. Catherine has had a troubled childhood and has an older brother who disappeared when they were both young. Schaeffer for his part has also shown himself to get too deeply involved in cases. Together however, they prove to be a good team and manage to track down the killer.
