Cliff Klaven Rides Again

A fire in a run down concert venue leads to a stampede and the deaths of three young men. I turns out that this place is offering entertainment to white supremacists. The owner, played by John Ratzenberger, says he is just trying to make ends meet. A previous reviewer gave this a one because CSI's don't do fire investigation. If this were a realistic forensics team, they would be a bunch of chemistry graduates, sitting with test tubes and beakers, doing their thing. They wouldn't carry guns. They wouldn't interrogate suspects. They wouldn't go house to house looking for evidence. Did anyone ever wonder why police get a major case every week? It's just TV. This was still fun to watch because the characters ar are interesting and the plots sophisticated and dramatic.

Fire at the Lockjaw Club
claudio_carvalho12 December 2023
During a concert at the Lockjaw Club, there is a fire and consequent panic of the public. A teenager dies stomped by the mob and three other people die inside. Nick and Finn investigate the origin of the fire while Sara and Morgan examine the victims. The owner of the club, Stu Kirchoff, was in his office when the fire started. Dr. Robbins investigate the cause of death of the victims and one of them was choked to death with a chain. When Sara learns that the bassist is Rene Nylen, she also discovers that he plays for the hatecore white supremacist band White Rising. The CSIs now investigate if it was a hate crime.

"Torch Song" is an episode where there are many possibilities for the arson in the club. Revenge, radicalism of white supremacist, hate crime and many other possibilities. In the end, the investigators conclude that the reason is one of the ancients' reasons of fire in stores and public places, scheme to receive the insurance. My vote is seven.

CSIs don't determine Fire Causes over Fire Marshals. What happened to "procedural"?
