Solid episode in the Season
ryanjpeed14 April 2014
This episode was really good, like the rest of the episodes, and had a fantastic ending that leaves you wandering what will happen next. I love the dialogue between the well developed characters, and as a whole, I have very high hopes for the rest of this season and the seasons to come. I have begun rating these later episodes 9/10, though, because it seems many of the episodes are similar in plot and the amount of thrills. None of the 2nd season episodes has stood out to me like 'The Truth' in the first season or the finale of the first season. Although that drags me down, it still makes me wonder what the next three episodes will have in store and how it will bring itself up, and I will definitely be watching every minute of it!

As Norma worries about what may happen with Norman accidentally killing Cody's dad, a new cop named Deputy Lynn is about to give her something to really worry about.

Warning: Spoilers
With only a few episodes left, it would have been interesting if the finale had Norman sentenced to prison for murder. Norma would lose her mind, Dylan would remain indifferent, and Emma would be worried sick. Alas, such a future may come to pass, just not now it currently seems.

Topic 1: Assert Yourself - Dylan

With Dylan fresh from boss lady Jodie's place, everyone seems to know that he is the newest "It" boy, and that he likely had sex with the boss. Including Zane. Luckily though, Zane isn't so protective over his sister he would kill a man for sleeping with her, but perhaps if he did disappoint her. Something which maybe easy to do since Zane is ready to raise hell in retaliation for last week's drive by.

How you may ask? Well, with the notches being one murder for two, then a drive by, it seems now Zane wants to take aim at Nick Ford's pocket by raiding his warehouse. Something which Dylan tries to stop, but gets knocked out while attempting to do so. Leaving us watching him out on the ground, seemingly dragging himself to somewhere he may not be seen, as Zane, Remo, and some goons raid Nick's storage.

Topic 2: Goodbye Cody - Norman

With Norman accidentally killing Cody's dad, it seems she is to be shipped off to Indiana to live with her aunt. Of course though, before she can leave, she has to testify. Now, being that Norma is very protective of Norman, she takes it upon herself to interrogate Cody in the bathroom to make sure Norman's blackouts aren't mentioned as part of the conversation, something which backfires on her later. But, luckily for Norman, Cody says what needs to be said and Norman is Scot-free. Thing is, with Cody moving to Indiana, and the whole bit of him killing her dad, she seemingly is ready to breakup. Norman is hoping they could text and call, but Cody doesn't want something fake and long distance. So, with a kiss goodbye, she seemingly exits the show.

Topic 3: Time to Investigate – Norman & Norma

But, as Cody leaves, she reveals to Norman that Norma is hiding something from him, something dealing with his blackouts. However, being that Norma hardly even wants to acknowledge something is wrong with her son, she decides to first play the situation defensively until she realizes that, or perhaps thinks, Norman isn't going to harm her, so she gets aggressive with him and not only says she isn't going to answer his questions about something being wrong with him, but she doesn't want it brought up again.

And the reason this whole "What is wrong with me?" thing matters is because when they were talking at the police station, Norma spoke to Norman as if he might be guilty, but she would protect him. Which didn't rub Norman the right way. He took offense to this naturally for he claims innocence, and it probably doesn't help Norma is an actual murderer so her judgment is almost unbelievable.

Still, despite their relationship weakening, even with Cody no longer around, the next test comes as the show revisits Blair Watson's case. In the episode we are introduced to Deputy Lynn, a young lady fresh out the labs and now a cop. She has collected Norman's things and DNA for the investigation of Cody's dad's death, and decides to test it against Blair's crime scene, and she finds the semen in Blair, the one which couldn't be identified, is Norman's. Mind you, someone has already been arrested for Blair's death, but this likely will throw a monkey wrench into things. Never mind Nick Ford and Norma know each other and surely Nick will have no problem getting to know Norman as well.
