BASE was filmed on 3 Continents (Europe, North America, South America) in 7 Countries (England, Brazil, Switzerland, Norway, Italy, France, USA). Scenes set in New York were deleted from the film's final cut bringing the number of countries depicted in whole scenes to 6 and the number of continents to 2.
The film's male lead, Alexander Polli, died in a tragic wingsuit accident in France in August 2016. It prompted a 12 month delay for the film's release as the producers did not wish to exploit Alexander's death.
The film's Executive Producers (Allan Niblo & James Richardson) were responsible for the production and distribution of BRONSON (starring Tom Hardy) by Director Nicolas Winding Refn (Drive, The Neon Demon) and MONSTERS, the debut low-budget feature from Director Gareth Edwards (Rogue One, Godzilla).
