When Doctor Schlossberg meets Grossman in South America, he states that Grossman's son is making a film about "the Holocaust lie". Holocaust Denial, although a mainstream of neo-Nazi groups, was actually rare among German veterans and almost non-existent among members of the SS who had served in death camps. Rather quite the opposite, former Auschwitz personnel (such as Schlossberg) would state in later life that they found it unbelievable people were actually trying to claim that Jewish extermination didn't occur.
