. . . Sirens of the Seas. Singing dames luring dudes to their dooms is the main theme of most operas, as depicted in the classic film, WHAT'S OPERA, DOC? Guys don't survive riding with the Valkyries very far, as such vicious vixen eviscerate even valiant virtuoso victors. THE MASKED GINNY LYNNE may say nay or neigh, but she's a glutton for gluten when hauling in the hay or cries of "Hey! We've been fleeced while Lamb Chops was wailing away!" Only Dudley is immune to Ginny or Nell's questionable charms, since Inspector Fen-Wick has long since broken this dud's charm bracelet. But, as the blacksmith said to fell Nell, the shoe must go on.

. . . and Dudley Do-Right's trusty steed continues throughout this TRAP BAIT episode. Sadly, Nell's passion seems to be totally unrequited. Not many observers have judged this long-faced redhead to be worthy of even a charitable "homely" rating, by either human or equine standards. If she were a spider or a bug, it would be the type evoking a visceral reflex action to be stepped on and squashed by any and all able-bodied Patriotic Americans. However, hailing from Canada, it's well within the realm of possibility that Nell could win a blue ribbon as "Miss Saskatoon" or something. Which would be nothing to brag about.

Nell Fen-Wick has been frequently maligned . . .

. . . for her equine features, but--as they say--it takes one to know one. A perennial heroine of the horsey set, Nell plays a crucial part during MORTGAGING THE MOUNTIE POST. Mr. Whiplash places a premium on the proprietary rights to her whinny, to the tune of three million bucks Canadian (or two Benjamin's, at the prevailing exchange rate with the Gold Standard of genuine American currency). This prompts ne'er do well Dudley to trick the snide buggy whip into wedding Dudley's nag, with whom Nell is hopelessly infatuated. This constitutes a menagerie a trio plus one, as they say in France, where higher math is known as arithmetic.
