. . . watch list one risks in writing about MIRACLE DRUG. The second or final word of this Dudley Do-Right of the Mounties episode is a very controversial term, fraught with controversy and bad feelings. Many politicians frown upon the four-letter D-word and advise Americans to just say "no" to even having a passing acquaintance with it. Furthermore, as the final depiction of this MIRACLE DRUG film clearly shows, the D-word in question is castor oil. Everyone knows that this liquid is derived from castor beans--a home-grown source of one of the deadliest poisons known to mankind. Bottom Line: Beware of the MIRACLE DRUG.

The act of knitting is highly repetitious. People beset by Obsessive\Compulsive Disorder tend to churn out the most proficient and prolific needlework, including of course knitting. Nell Fen-Wick is one such example, as demonstrated during BULLET-PROOF SUIT. She knits when she's bored, which is pretty much all the time. Nell knits whether her output is useful or not. If her human circle of friends and relatives complain about the excessive quantity of yarn she's expending to make moth food, she simply begins knitting for the mute plants and animals of the forest. Nell should be content with knitting her brows.

, , , Dudley Do-Right of the Mounties ever released. The special guest star--a theatrical agent--is spot-on with his portrayal of a sycophantic schemer boasting the skills necessary to entice virtually anyone into his money-grubbing theatrical ploys. As usual, only Nell Fen-Wick seems able to resist the.unctuous but shallow praise of the cajoling trickster and keep her eyes squarely focused on the demands of the Real World. Nell's inspector father turns out to be more vulnerable to a hackneyed regimen of boilerplate praise than even Dudley himself. On the other hand, Snidely Whiplash attempts to manipulate the foot-light blinded Mounties toward their doom, but Nell makes sure that the last laugh turns against him.
