I’m not normally the type to voluntarily offer up my time to watch sports documentaries, but Winning:the Racing Life Of Paul Newman is one of those rare exceptions. Here’s the catch, it’s really not a sports film, but a look into another, lesser known side of the life of Paul Newman, one of the greatest American actors of all-time, and as it turns out, one of the greatest American men of all-time as well.

However, what I discovered from watching this film, co-directed by Adam Carolla and Nate Adams, is that Paul Newman damn near comes close,...

Acting legend Paul Newman is known all around the world for his extraordinary film career, including an Oscar win for Martin Scorsese's "The Color of Money" (1986), and his charity Newman's Own Foundation, which has raised over $450 million since its creation in 1982. But fans of the late actor will get to see a whole new side of him when directors Adam Carolla and Nate Adams explore one of Newman's biggest passions: car racing. In the upcoming documentary "Winning: The Racing Life of Paul Newman," the actor's high speed obsession is explored through rare archive footage and interviews with friends and fellow car lovers Robert Redford, Patrick Dempsey, Robert Wagner, Jay Leno and Mario Andretti. Although Newman didn't start racing until he was 47, his career behind the wheel lasted over 30 years, nearly sidelined his acting career and earned him four national championships as a driver and eight more as an owner.
