I like this episode by watching how the show gets Ted closer to the mother. A pretty good idea. That said I don't like mother. Her character is nauseatingly sweet and annoying.. Guess I was hoping for somebody better and cooler for Ted and this is not going to happen. And Unfortunately we will get to see more of her now that she is in the hotel, but the good thing is that the creators of this show are able to make it funny even with such an annoying person as her.

Was glad to see Marshall! The beginning of him walking was fun. So was his first interaction with the mother in the car. Although I have trouble understanding how she recognized him so easily.

Half-funny, but not great

Warning: Spoilers
Since this season hasn't lived up to any of our expectations yet, it's been very slow and sometimes plain boring. This episode is clearly not one of the better episodes of the series, but not the worst either. Some parts are actually touching, Barneys and Teds conversation about what you would do for your best friend is really good. But many things were boring. For example Darren takes way too much room in this episode and just becomes annoying as the episode progresses. Linus is as unfunny as usual, the whole discussion about who's rooting for who is silly. It was a bit sad that after 13 episodes we still hadn't seen more than about 10 minutes of the mother. But this episode at least gives us some of her, and a bit of information about her as a person. And the best part is that everybody has arrived to the hotel, including the mother. So I believe that we will see more of her in the following episodes. So while there are some laughs and touching moments in this episode, it won't be remembered by me as something renewing, but since it seems that we've hit a turning point now I can't dismiss it either. 6/10
