Ryan and Esposito
roach540923 January 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This episode shows us how much Ryan and Esposito mean to this show. They are by far one of the greatest partner duos in much of cop television series. This show would not be the same without them. They honestly compliment Castle and Beckett better than you could imagine.

This show just keeps getting better! I am truly amazed at how well each individual episode plays out. I know that in the end Beckett, Castle, Ryan or Esposito will probably never die, and that there will always be a way to save them from whatever harm is in there way, but everything else is almost always unexpected. This show just keeps me on edge, and I love that! Can't wait for each and every episode that is to come in the future!

Here's something I didn't see coming, a daughter?!?!?!? Totally thought we were gonna have a Javier Ryan come on to the show. Oh well! Maybe in the future!!!!

Reel and real life emotions are shown

Warning: Spoilers
As I was watching this episode, I couldn't help but think how emotional it must have been for two of the main characters involved to film. Seamus Dever (Kevin Ryan) and Juliana Dever (Jenny Ryan) are married in real life. As the story plays out, Kevin is trapped inside a burning building. Jenny is in labor with their first child in an ambulance outside. She refuses to leave until she knows what will happen to him. I'm sure it had to be intense for both actors, imagining their spouse in such a situation. The strong friendship between Ryan and Esposito is clearly shown as well.

worth the wait
avishek-asr6 January 2014
Castle is back and this episode helps it to fly high. After a more-than-a-month-long wait, I finally had the pleasure to see this episode and it pushed my expectations from the coming ones even higher. This episode had all the elements(a little less in suspense or actually solving the crime I guess), it had the comic relief, the searching for clues, castle's thinking on feet power, and above all, the raw emotion and love that the core members of 12th precinct share. And even Ryan(or will he?????) Becomes dad and the bromance of Kevin-Javier is well portrayed. Castle-Becket-Ryan-Javier-Lanie-Gates and even Jenny were superb in their character. My best wishes for the upcoming episodes.

Not knowing a thing... as usually
nemesis-8830 June 2023
The writers of this show jump from one subject they don't know anything about to another. The way Phantom burns buildings (no casualties, condemned buildings, etc) is a class A misdemeanor in New York. Even if his case was heard by the worst jury and the most idiotic judge, he would MAYBE get three years in jail. Usually though he would walk free. Murder is potentially a death penalty crime. Why would he risk murdering the brave fireman who was "hunting" him to save himself from a wrist slap?

The way they portrait pyromaniacs is digusting and absolutely unbelievable. Those people don't stand there breathing heavily watching a fire. They climax for them is STARTING a fire, not watching it. So when one of the characters says the fireman "showed him some photos", that's just disgusting and stupid. Photos of fires do nothing for pyromaniacs.

All-in-all, typical tv-series in the sixth season. Didn't expect it to last this long, don't know what to do and where to go from here.
