Like watching a train wreck

I started this show not expecting much, simply because I never really liked Ron Perlman's character on Son's of Anarchy. But I have to admit, I got sucked in within the first few minutes.

I say it's "Like watching a train wreck" because you really cannot turn away. You don't have a clue what is going to happen next and know if you stop now, you'll miss the most messed up part of the show. It's like you shake your head every few minutes going "It can't get any worse" and the show strives to prove you wrong.

Dana Delany really makes this show. She is sexy and strong all in one.

Ron Perlman plays this role perfectly, this whole Judge/Godfather persona fits him so well.

Supporting cast is excellent.

Don't know how long it will last, but it has massive potential.

Great start to a promising show

This show has an excellent first episode. The storyline is very catchy and unique which works very well with the name of the show. The writers have already opened many possible story lines. This gives chance to have multiple stories at once.

I really hope the producers don't stretch this show too much. Most of the actors are very good actors.

In particular Ron and Dana. This show will be another absolute hit similar to SO anarchy.

The show was its best when KD was defending himself in the court. I am really looking forward to this show starting.

Finally, great television.

I binged watched this show, it was amazing. Here's hoping for a season two. As usual the critics were wrong. I am not a critic and I would not presume to tell you that it is good or bad, watch it and make up your own mind. There were no bad actors. There was excellent lighting. There was excellent sound, no mumbling, every actors voice was clear, actors did not mumble like most television shows where you keep have to rewind to try and figure out what was said, I really liked that. I had reservations about it before I watched because I was not a fan of Anarchy which turned out to be one of the years biggest crap job. There has to be a season two, if not someone will get a nasty letter from me.

medical advising

It's a good show but there are a few things that are bugging me in regards to the medical scenes. Being in the medical field, I have noticed a few things that really are either just unrealistic or just doesn't make sense. 1. the patient is in a coma who doesn't move, why is he in restrains? 2. when changing the sheets with a vented patient, do nurses really use a lift, every single time? they normally move the patient from side to side in order to change sheets/patient. 3. rotating the patient every 2 hrs helps to prevent any skin breakdown, changing sheets and making sure there are no wrinkles in that matter just does not happen 4. using the lift with a vented patient does not require to disconnect him much less use an ambu bag! patient can stay connected. 5. why is the patient lying flat and no tube feedings whats so ever

I'm not trying to knit pick but at least make it look realistic, we are in 2015 after all.

please find an adviser who has some medical background

Don't worry, no spoilers here. This has to be one of the best pilots I have ever watched. The acting is at a very high quality and the camera work is professional. The main lead actor makes a very commanding performance and immediate is suited to the role. What makes this stand out from other programs is the strength of story. The story is consistent and at the end of the pilot you are left to decide what you have made of the previous events, without the show telling you what to think. I also love the use God (without being preachy) and the idea of right and wrong is also interesting. It almost has a feel of the film crash, in the sense the characters work beautifully together. Well worth watching.

Painful

Watching the Hand Of God pilot was like being tortured. It was gloomy, depressing, painful, and worse---not entertaining.

SPOILER ALERT: The premise isn't great to begin with. It's about a judge who goes insane after his son shoots himself in the head, and he thinks god is talking to him through his comatose son---and he sees things no one else does. The judge gets baptized and becomes "born again" by a con artist preacher. The judge heads out to seek vengeance on the rapist of his daughter-in-law with his "god/son" giving him pointers along the way, like having blood crawl in the direction of the rapist. Ugh.

I'm admittedly not a big fan of the character-seeing-things-that-aren't-there style of story telling. The only show that pulled that off successfully was Rescue Me.

Stranger than this would be hard to find!

Nothing you have seen before can properly prepare the viewer for the plot structures and narrative twists of this show. As an unprepared viewer you sit somewhere between thinking "too much....what the hell" and gales of laughter.

Shame however when the writers duck the obvious use of DNA evidence in favour (English spelling) of sensationalism!

Having 'said' that my curiosity would drive me to look for further episodes just to see what else the febrile minded writer/s produce in future. With clever visual effects, good acting plus some gratuitous sex this show might be the sleeper success of the year, but not something for those of a sensitive nature!
