- As Rachel faces criticism for being a slacker, Santana makes sure her public image doesn't degrade. Kurt feels that his friends don't support him as much as he does them and Sam adopts a dog but has Mercedes to deal with.

- We open with Rachel's secret auditions making their way to the media and her being branded a diva. Santana thinks Rachel needs help with her image. Rachel admonishes a woman for keeping her dog in a purse and has an idea.
An elderly woman brings a poster announcing an upcoming performance to Kurt at the diner. She's a resident at a home for retired performers and they're putting on Peter Pan. Her name is Maggie Banks and she sits and talks to Kurt for a while. He recognizes her from her work on Broadway.
Rachel goes to an animal rescue and tells them she wants to organize a benefit. Sam wants to adopt a dog but Mercedes thinks it's a bad idea. To calm the dogs down the kids sing "I Melt With You."
Santana suggests Rachel get photographed walking a few dogs to get her charity off the ground. Kurt asks Rachel if he can be involved. She tells him no and he's clearly hurt that things haven't taken off with his career.
Kurt drops by Maggie's rehearsal. The person they had playing Peter Pan dies while he's there. Cancelling the production is suggested but Maggie thinks it's important to make sure the residents have a reason to get out of bed. Kurt offers to fill-in and auditions with "Memory." Maggie and the rest of the cast join him.
Mercedes comes home and finds that Sam adopted the dog without talking to her. The place is a mess and she's not happy, especially when he gets into her clothes. She tells Sam to take the dog back.
Blaine, Kurt and Santana help Rachel pretend to be accidentally caught by paparazzi with her dogs. It goes terribly wrong when they smell food and drag Rachel along the ground.
Kurt tells Santana and Rachel about his role in Peter Pan. Santana and Rachel aren't able to attend. Kurt is fed up with them.
Sam and Artie work on trying to train the dog. They sing "Werewolves of London." They work on cleaning up the apartment.
The Peter Pan auditions aren't going well. Maggie's daughter Claire sends word she won't be able to attend and Kurt feels terrible. One of the nurses tell Kurt that Maggie sends herself the flowers to "keep up appearances." She hasn't seen Claire in years.
Mercedes expresses concern that Sam won't be able to take care of the dog long-term. They argue about the future and Sam is upset the Mercedes doesn't think he can handle responsibility. He thinks her taking him seriously is important, but she still doesn't think their scheduled are conducive to keeping a dog.
Kurt pays Claire a visit and asks if she wants to see her mother perform. Claire tells Kurt that Maggie wasn't always the greatest mother. Kurt begs her to come see the show, but Claire doesn't seem interested.
During Rachel's event she argues with a woman and young boy who want to adopt a dog that is particularly photogenic. Rachel wants them to hold off on adopting the dog until she can pose with it later. The woman calls Rachel out for being a phony.
Blaine spends time with Kurt backstage before his performance. Before the show Kurt tells Maggie they should become each other's family since her daughter and his friends are always so busy. At the last minute Kurt sees that all his friends have shown up to the performance.
Kurt and the Peter Pan cast sing "Lucky Star." Claire shows up with flowers for her mother. The two sit together and catch up. Artie loans them a bus to take the center residents to be guest performers at en event for Rachel's charity.
Rachel introduces the senior performers. With help from the crowd they perform "Take Me Home Tonight." A TV reporter asks Rachel how she got the idea for such a unique event and she gives all the credit to Santana and Kurt.
