- A vampire is sent by its coven to Gothos, a modern metropolis, to investigate rumors that mystical scrolls of the First Blood have been found. Deceiver, an ancient evil vampire, is also looking for them.
- First person FMV adventure game. Famous archaeologist Sir Byron-Smythe from noirish European-looking modern metropolis of Gothos has announced his latest finding, an ancient manuscript that if deciphered could shine a new light on human history. The vampire council believes that these are the pages from the long lost mythical vampire bible. Under the council's authority, your vampire sire agrees to send you to Gothos to find the pages and, if they are indeed what they seem to be, to bring them back at all costs. Whoever possesses the pages could become the most powerful vampire that ever existed and the council can't allow for such apocalyptic event to happen and destroy the balance between the vampire clans. You are also warned to watch out for "the great deceiver", who will try to take the pages for himself and use them to conduct a demonic ritual that will give him the ultimate vampiric power. The player can choose between several male and female vampire characters to play as. In Gothos, the player will meet both allies such as other vampire agents or unsuspecting humans and foes such as human gangs. The player must feed whenever their blood meter drops too low. Some characters can not be fed upon and will kill the player if they are attacked. The person that's been fed upon will immediately die. Most of the gameplay consists of navigating the open areas and narrow streets of Gothos until the plater reaches a building they can enter. There is no map in the game. Most puzzles consist of fetch quests. The player will eventually have to choose who should get the pages, the archaeologist who can translate them, or Gareth, the posh egotistical vampire lord of Gothos, or someone else. Which ending the player gets depends on this decision as well as an angelic hellish ghost girl that the player can run into once in every section of the city. Some puzzles, such as the one where the player must catch a vampire traitor, must be completed as soon as they become active or the ending will change accordingly. The game has many subtly humorous moments. The player can talk to anyone but there are no dialogue trees.
