Sex & Nudity
- A highly graphic and upsetting depiction of a man raping a woman. He holds her down as she screams at him to let her go, and she is crying through the encounter while he keeps going. It is painful to watch.
Violence & Gore
- Tommy is on his knees, about to be executed, when suddenly one of his three executors shoots the other two executors. He then shoves their bodies inside the grave meant for Tommy and spares him on the orders of his superior.
- A woman shoots her rapist. The actual shooting is not seen, we just hear the gun and he falls to the ground. A blood smear is visible on her clothing, and the camera cuts to a long-distance shot of his slumped body with a pool of blood at his feet.
- Lizzie is raped by a soldier. Tommy fights the rapist, but is beating, but is helped by Lizzie, shooting the man in the head, and he falls down to the floor
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Tommy's "execution" sequence is extremely intense.
- In a disturbing scene, Lizzie is meant to distract a soldier, but when Tommy can't get her to in time before anything serious happens, the man begins to graphically rape her from behind. Tommy fights the man, but before he's beating, Lizzie shoots the man in the head, and his body falls to the floor with his head wound leaking blood down the wall, when shot. The rape scene is very disturbing to watch, but is brief
- The scene is Aunt Polly confronting Campbell, who had raped and extorted her, is very intense.
