An OK Focus on Robots
Hitchcoc4 December 2017
While a bit undernourished, it was fun to see some of the insiders who made the films we've watches do many times. We look at robots and cyborgs from movies like "A-I" and "Blade Runner" and, of course, "Star Wars." It was wonderful to see Isaac Asimov talking about the "Three Laws of Robotics." This is such a huge topic, considering it is one of the necessities of almost all exploration. Humans have too short a shelf life to do everything and their computing skills are limited. I enjoyed the discussions of the HAL computer in "2001: A Space Odyssey" and the appearance of the first interstellar robot in "Forbidden Planet" in the 50's. I guess my only issue is the shortness of these presentations
