In a somber episode, everyone thinks about the role they played in Angelo's life and possibly his death.

Warning: Spoilers
With Gilles Marini, Angelo, seemingly leaving this show for a possibly meatier role on Devious Maids, he is given a fitting send off. For while they could have written him off by showing him abandoning his family, once again, instead they let the character be laid to rest. Leading to an episode in which we are reminded of all the hopes and dreams people had for him to be a part of, and how his absence will surely affect them and future story lines.

Topic 1: The Things I'll Miss (Part 1) - Daphne

As you can imagine, with Daphne having just reconciled with Angelo after he abandoned her as a child, while it is nice they at least mended their relationship before his passing, it doesn't make the situation any easier. Especially since, if you wanted to be cruel, you can see how she perhaps could have helped in some form. For with Angelo's accident happening before her SAT exam, she is torn between doing the exam or staying with Angelo. Leading Regina to make the decision for her by saying she needs to focus on herself for now. But before she goes she asks Toby to text her if the blood pressure in Angelo's brain goes past 20 on this cerebral pressure measuring machine.

Leaving Bay with her dad, oblivious to the information that the doctors should be notified if the cerebral pressure goes past 20 to notify someone. So while she has her first conversation, on screen, with Angelo in who knows how long, his number gradually raises until alarms go off and Toby texts Daphne to the point she can't concentrate on the SATs. Then, when she comes back, Bay goes off on her for leaving.

Topic 2: The Things I'll Miss (Part 2) - Bay

But perhaps what really frustrates Bay, when it comes to Daphne, is her insistence on claiming Angelo is dead after his second aneurysm leaves him brain dead. For with Dr. Larkin (Christopher B. Duncan) saying that a cease in brain function means the person is also gone, Daphne is all but convinced Angelo is no more. However, she is alone in this belief for everyone wants to cling onto hope.

Bay especially for, unlike Daphne, she hasn't been able to build much in a way of memories with Angelo outside of the short time she lived with him and Regina. Though the really sad part of this whole situation comes when we watch both Bay and Daphne imagine the parts of their lives of which Angelo won't be part of. For example, Daphne dreams of him being at her wedding, to an unseen groom, and Bay imagines him being there when she is in labor waiting on Emmett, who is strongly hinted at being the father. But now all those dreams have turned into fantasies with no hope of becoming reality.

Thus leaving me hoping Angelo's death will push Bay to pursue a full- fledge relationship with Regina, and play catchup to how much Daphne has bonded with the Kennish family, for this death should be a serious wakeup call. Perhaps leading to one of the saddest moments in the episode in which Bay has to call her grandmother, who is too far to travel, so that she can say goodbye to her son. For while John calls doctors, and uses his connections, and Kathryn prays, Bay learns through Angelo's will that he had no desire to be kept alive solely due to machines. So, after the goodbye from his mother, and his organs signed away, there goes Angelo Sorrento.

Topic 3: The Guilt Always Ends Up Here - Regina

With Angelo having a car accident comes a lot of questions, especially from the police. Was he drinking, was he angry, could this have been a suicide attempt? Of which Regina repeatedly says no, but John thinks otherwise. You see, days before the accident, Angelo asked John for a loan, but being that John was thinking in the mindset of losing the $5 million was what Angelo deserved, he said no. So with the idea of Angelo committing suicide in the air, you can see John feels a tinge of guilt. But this information is kept between him and Kathryn.

However, as everyone freaks out, and Regina becomes a bit more reliant on hope and faith than she usually is, John tells Regina all his calls have led to the same diagnosis as Dr. Larkin's. With this Regina goes off on John seemingly giving up, and accuses him of being glad this happened since now he doesn't have to share being a father with Angelo. Something she apologizes for later, since Regina's feelings are never justified on this show. Though with the feeling of guilt in the air, and everyone claiming a piece, we learn perhaps the one who should bear it the most is her. For with her pushing Angelo and escalating the situation to the point where he had to leave, it makes her feel responsible for the last incident which maybe drove him over the edge.

And in truth, as Daphne points out to her to make sure she feels horrible, it is essentially Regina's fault Angelo died. For, from what we are told, Regina sent him into such a rage that Angelo had an aneurysm on his way home. Hence why he crashed, and ultimately why he is dead now. Now whether Bay and the rest will find out is unknown, but you can be sure this guilt is going to weigh heavy and make Regina a bit harder to love. Though when hasn't Regina been put in the position where she wasn't forced to bear the weight of making a decision that made her the sole, or main, person to blame?
