Old Case
claudio_carvalho30 January 2022
Patrick Jane and Teresa Lisbon are living a honeymoon but they decide to keep their relationship in secret from their colleague, while Kim Fischer is transferred to another office and the rookie agent Michelle Vega joins the team. When the biker Jeremy Geist is murdered in a bowling alley, the FBI agents are assigned to investigate the case. Soon they learn by Agent Ken Spackman that the victim was an undercover agent investigating a weapon smuggling ring. He asks to keep secret of his identity but Patrick discloses to the suspects and the bartender Tish Delaurio tries to flee but is captured by Vega. Patrick is accused of irresponsibility by Spackman, and studies the profile of Jeremy Geist and finds another unresolved old case.

"Nothing But Blue Skies" is another good episode of "the Mentalist", now with Patrick and Teresa as a couple. The lead plot has many twists and is well resolved. The romantic life of Lisbon and Patrick is complex. My vote is eight.

intellectually engaging yet ordinary i love the sharp intellectual observation skills of jane he makes ordinary observations and uses them to solve complex crimes i re watched the series from season 1 just to try and improve my own observational skills every detective or police professional should watch this series and learn how to be a better detective or policeman you are constantly challenged to try and guess how Jane will solve a crime and in the end u begin to be able to make the observations yourself. The acting, casting, storytelling is just awesome. There is a move away from the soap opera and more into character development which serves the show well.
