Shot in the subways of Toronto, this documentary short brings us up close and personal with a series of unknown street musicians, intimately capturing their personal stories while seductively turning the lens on our own human condition. A series of vignettes featuring a Ukrainian balalaika player, Nikolai, a Russian violinist Andrei, and a 5-string guitarist Jason, the short film intimately captures the worldviews that shape and drive these fiercely independent beings modern minstrels of our time who, if only for a brief moment as we rush by, evoke and inspire our shared humanity, poignantly revealing the price and prize that comes with standing by your life's passion in an increasingly automated world.
