The sculpture of a man throwing a disc is "The Discobolus." It was originally made of bronze and was crafted by the ancient Greek sculptor, Myron of Eleutherae, nearly 2,500 years ago.
The statues with the large, square heads that can be seen on Sculpturon are called "Maoi" and were first carved by the Rapa Nui people of Easter Island. It is still a mystery as to how the Rapa Nui people moved the large sculptures, some weighing as much as 72,500 kilograms or about 175,000 pounds.
