With Angelo's death still affecting the story, some character seem in the beginning stages of moving on as one remains stuck in their ways.

Warning: Spoilers
As good as this show is, sometimes it does have an issue with juggling its characters. If just because for every character who has an interesting story-line and good dialog, it feels like someone suffers for it. Like Toby has suffered from the beginning since he is so regular compared to everyone else that he is boring. A problem which often also effects John and Kathryn. Meanwhile, everyone else is jumping from relationship to relationship, having random drama thrown in their lives, and having various reactions to it all which often works. However, when it doesn't it truly is horrible. To understand why I say that, look below.

Topic 1: When in New York – Kathryn & Regina

As of this episode, it seems Regina is just throwing herself into work, with Wes being a driving force behind that. Though with Angelo's death still recent, and Daphne trying to beat guilt into her, working is a better option than drowning in your own thoughts and feelings. And being that we are reminded Kathryn actually has a story-line, dealing with her book Batter Up!, she decides to push Regina to come join her on a trip to NY for her publisher's new release party. Something which, naturally, Regina isn't for, but ultimately enjoys. After all, she gets out of the house, Kathryn somehow became her only friend, since apparently she dropped any friends she had in East Riverside a long time ago, and she needed to get away. Though during this trip things get very odd. For one, some dude Kathryn had sex with pops up and makes for odd situations then, to avoid this dude, Kathryn and Regina decide to pretend to be lesbians in order to avoid him. Something which seemed sort of cheap to do, but within the show people seem to tweet and talk about the idea Kathryn is in an open relationship so hopefully there is a long term plan for all this. Otherwise, I can only assume this was done to show Kathryn can be, or was, interesting.

Topic 2: Over Before it Has Begun (Part 1) – Daphne & Travis

Daphne is in such a weird place right now. Angelo has died, Regina isn't reacting to his death how she wants her to, and Daphne really doesn't have a healthy outlet to pour all her pent up frustration into. So she tries to use Nacho in order to release her frustration, but upon realizing using him would just make her his side-chick, she decides to leave him alone. But then she tries to hook up with Travis, bringing back memories of when he liked her and she didn't like him. However, he has Mary-Beth now, problems of his own, and doesn't need Daphne's on his plate.

And while John, surprisingly, isn't really trying to get on Daphne's case like he would Bay, thankfully Sheree and Bay try to remind Daphne she is losing it. However, with all that has happened it seems that even them showing that they are worried isn't enough. Daphne wants change and doesn't know what she needs to do to make that happen, and despite going away to school perhaps being an ideal way to get away from Regina, and it all, she talks about maybe not going to college anymore. And as of the end of the episode, even with Regina trying to make amends, Daphne still wants to talk as if Regina is a murderer and Regina has had enough. But, with Daphne unable to move on from Angelo's death, and still not being over Regina lying about the switch, she storms out. Making me hope she finally leaves so perhaps Bay can get some mommy time.

But more on Bay in a minute, let's quickly go over Travis real quick. In the episode he preps to drop out but Melody stops him. For, as we have seen, she treats Travis like the son she didn't have to birth and isn't letting him settle just because he reached a roadblock. Hence the whole idea for the UKMC/ Galludet partnership. One of her babies were told no, so she found a way to create a yes. So not only does she rip up his form terminating him leaving school, she gives him an opportunity to go to college. Creating a big smile on Travis' face and now leaving him to tell his friend he won't be starting Monday.

Topic 3: Over Before it Has Begun (Part 2) - Bay

Bay has a bit of a tumultuous episode, between seeing Dr. Larkin about her possibly getting an aneurysm; seeing Jennifer, who was the face of the girl Emmett was cat fished with; and having a general worry about her future, as well as her and Emmett's together; she worries herself to the point that if she did have the potential for an aneurysm, it would have happened.

Thankfully though, her potential for one is low and when it comes to her and Emmett she plans on joining him as USC, solving that issue. Leaving me to talk about how strange it is for Bay to continue to use "my" when talking about Angelo or Regina being her parents, and yet WE RARELY SEE HER AND REGINA IN THE SAME ROOM! Making me hope with Regina trying to have a road trip with Daphne, which was denied, she instead takes Bay with the 1 million dollars she got from Angelo's life insurance claim. Oh, and speaking of Angelo, when is his funeral or are we not going to see that? Am I missing something?
