Inspiring....
planktonrules22 September 2015
This documentary is about Wesley Korir, a Kenyan long distance runner. Not only has he managed to win three American marathons (including the prestigious Boston Marathon) but he parlayed his success into a bid to run for the Kenyan parliament. Considering his country's history of violence and corruption*, you cannot help but feel that his serving in office could only be a good thing. The film follows him through his training and through his election bid. Throughout, Wesley attributes his success to his faith in God and he seems like a very humble and decent guy. Overall, it's very inspiring and a nice view.

*Oddly, despite the country having a LONG history of political corruption (a kleptocracy where the leaders enrich themselves through office), the film never really talks about this. Perhaps they were afraid of upsetting the powers that be.
