Amazing Mad (Wo)men

Warning: Spoilers
I haven't seen remaining episodes, but so far this one is the best of the season.

I have noticed that in season 1 we see Betty at her prime, while Joan and Peggy are struggling for career and status. Then, through the years, we follow the constant decade of Betty and ferocious rise of Joan and Peggy. Now we see the later two being totally lost in what has happened to the company, and Betty FINALLY happy and satisfied and dedicated to herself in another way - more noble. I must admit, it made me happy as well since she's been my longtime favorite character. Far from favorite as a person - it is more about how beautifully written that character is and how delicately January Jones plays it.

In a way all three of them stole the show. Joan with her fight for independence and respect, Betty being calm and bright and beautiful and alive, and finally Peggy in the breathtaking scene with Roger, that evoked so much nostalgia that I thought I was choking.

Magnificent presence and light by three Mad Men leading ladies!

Warning: Spoilers
As we are a step closer towards the end, the light at the end of the tunnel is approaching, is it a speeding train or an angel taking "Don" gently. Finally we are outside of Don's realm of work , he is back in the pursue of Diana, of course all of us had our doubts about the existence of her outside Don's mind, we have got our proof this episode, her story was real, the husband and the daughter . But the question here , what is so special about the new love interest of Mr.Draper that made him a captive in her prison. The most likely theory to be true is the similarities between the two of them , Don see in her a projection of himself , broken and lost. Lets jump quickly to see how things are going in McCann Erickson , Joan is leaving , Ted.. Well he is Ted , Peggy and Roger was hanging around . Sure McCann doesn't have half the charm of SC&P, maybe because we didn't get the chance to see the whole agency. Back to Don , his sense of losing his way continuous to accompany him till the end of the story, the existential crises that he faces tends to move to unresolved territories. What was the meaning of the plan that he forgot about the meeting and followed with his eyes. As we are two episodes away, i'am to show a little bias , mad men for sure is the greatest drama written for television , thanks to all the cast and crew specifically the master mind behind it Matthew Weiner.

Too much to cover, too little time.....

OK, is it just me, or are other fans of Mad Men starting to get a little worried? With two episodes left (or is it one? yikes!) after may 3,2015's Lost Horizon, the seem to be a lot of loose ends to tie, with not enough time to do so... Let me start with Mr. Dick Whitman. The importance of Don Draper's alter ego to the story line has been forgotten over the past few seasons, but surely there has to be some connection in the end?? Next, although Don Draper is a complicated character, and seems to be handed a lot of bad luck, he really is a jerk..... Accustomed to getting whatever he wants. I feel that he has to do some good to buy himself some good karma and redeem himself. The second most complicated character is Peggy. On one hand she is a strong-willed woman, so much that intimidates men. However, she is also vulnerable and still looks to Joan to help he through. The final has to include a definite end point for her too.... Will she land a partnership somewhere? Will there be a reconnection with her young child? Other things too - will Pete get back with Trudi, etc......

Warning: Spoilers
Other than the new firm showing some obvious bias towards women and the fact that in the moving process, errors shall be made, this was not one of the better episodes.

Of course, Joan stole the show as an advocate for women's rights when she has a confrontation with the new heads. The head really shows anti-woman bias and I was very surprised by Joan's reaction by the end of the episode. Was she really knuckling under?

No one is really seeming to be happy with the new merger. The Slattery character puts off coming in and is drinking along with Peggy.

Don shows his frustration by walking out during a presentation.
