Seriously, Peter's sequel to The Hopeful Squirrel and him reading it to the families at the end? Simply brilliant, or as Cleveland said, "That's cray-cray in a good way!" The Brian story was okay. Oh yeah, and the Urban Outfitter books Peter lists at the end, fugedaboutit!

Really good episode. Of course, opening episode was amazing but we shouldn't compare them, it's seperate thing. It was really good and better than average Family Guy episode which makes me happy.

Two reasonably good story lines

This episode was definitely a good one. It's obviously not a classic, but the story was quite good and there were a several solid laughs throughout.

The double-storyline concept works quite well in Family Guy episodes. In this one, you had the A-plot with Peter and Joe, and the B-plot with Brian.

Peter and Joe's segment was okay, the premise of the story was good enough, not as much humor as I thought they could have created though. Supported half the episode well though.

The funnier and, in my opinion, better of the two story lines, was that of Brian becoming a runner. The idea of him pretending to be an avid runner was funny early on, as was his runners' high segment.

As the episode went on, and Brian got more and more obsessed, it just got funnier, eventually culminating with Brian looking grotesquely skinny and breaking his leg quite nastily in a marathon race.

Of course everything was back to normal in the final scene of the episode. Brian was back to his healthier-looking rounded self, sporting a cast on his ankle. Stewie attempting to get Brian to feel an itch on his covered ankle was a good joke to end on.

Peter/Joe: 6/10 ..... Brian: 8/10
