If 11/10 was an option, I'd click it. *almost* no spoilers! (unless you didn't watch any of this season)

Unbelievable. Very very few episodes of the garbage that's on TV these days literally leaves me on the edge of my seat. Let alone for basically the entirety of the episode. I don't throw out 10/10 ratings for anything too often, but this one rightfully gets it. From Proctor's shenanigans with his smack dealing, to the sheriff's thieving and tom foolery, every minute of this episode is epic. Complete with a superb cliffhanger ending to the season. Absolutely amazing. The only thing that upsets me is now we have to wait another 8+ months for more. Maybe I'm still too pumped up from this episode last night, but right now I can't think of a single episode of any show I've watched that tops this.

p.s. THIS... is an AWESOME SWORD!! WOOOOOOO

Double-Dog Dare you Not to be Impressed..

And that is a bet this reviewer is going to not going to lose.

The irony is that going into the second season the biggest competition for this show was ... itself. In other words it had created so much buzz that producers were put in the enviable position of having to top .. themselves.

The season ends using the "trademark" visual match-cuts, two incredibly dangerous "hit teams" go into action looking to settle some scores.

Did I forget to mention that the action sequences (as always) are as good or better than anything in the A-List Hollywood movies and, a bonus, each hit team is certified co-ed? Seriously, does it get any better? Over the course of this season -- check my reviews of specific episodes -- I might have preferred if the writing team was not quite so willing to eat its own young and kill off some of the most interesting characters I had ever seen in 7 decades of watching TV.

But those are mere quibbles. This series is still setting the bar for a dramatic action series. And will I think go down in history for the risks it takes each and every episode.

Great series

So I needed to just address a previous reviewer who was questioning the Mayor suddenly becoming a sniper, the guy was a marine so there's no reason why he shouldn't be, now I am not saying he would still have the skills but that just isn't what this show is about, people say there are plotholes, all shows have plotholes, but i must admit, I haven't noticed anything that has stood out, it's entertainment, not a documentary. I have really enjoyed the series so far, although the violence has been gratuitous, this finale, with some of Hoods back story is great. I must confess to being slightly enamoured of Hood, Job and Sugar, Carrie/Ana is getting on my nerves, and the lady who plays Rebecca could be alot less wooden. Kai and Burton are great characters also.

Really, how was this episode written?

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoy this show very much, i could watch Kai and Hood talk without doing any other thing for 40 minutes. But this episode? Who wrote this, and how? Two guys, sheriff and the mayor to be exact, raids a military base. Come on, and suddenly mayor becomes the elite sniper! You gotta be kidding me. Also Sugar evades an grenade explosion, how? Job gets captured after our guys killed everyone in the base? Moreover, Kai decides to kill his Philly contact, and he does it without sweating? What about the new deputy guy? Why is he involved in the story this much, especially in the season finale? Well, this was the only episode in all three seasons that i did not enjoy watching. The writers must have thought like nobody cares as long as our guys win, so we will give the viewers explosions, gun quarrels, mysterious flashbacks, fist fights and exectra. Dont take us for granted, please. Writing should make some sense.

Why is every season finale so ridiculously over the top?
stmatts25 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Season 1 it was the rpg getting pulled out by the mobsters then those same mobsters taking themselves out and Rabbit somehow surviving.

Season 2 was the church assault where a firing squad had our main characters dead to rights yet not only do they live, but are unscathed.

And now season 3 were they take on a whole army base, The Big Bad boss getting taken out by Carrie (they hyped him up to be the guy that takes out the worst of the worst but he can't handle Carrie) no way his navy friend gets taken out by Job either, Gordon is Rambo, and Job gets taken again right in front of everyone (he literally standing right next to ever).

Every finale just get a little more ridiculous than the previous. I love the rest of the stuff but come on.
