The part where Damon comes back and the Salvatore brothers hug is all you need for your heart to come out.

This is my second time watching this show around & honestly I've never been more frustrated in my life more than the scene where damon is fighting off kai right before him & bonnie are able to come back to the living world. 1. Damon has vampire speed/strength & couldve ripped the crossbow out of kais hands & snapped his neck faster than you can say aunt jamima. 2. Damon is 100x stronger than a human so why is he struggling when hes fighting kai??? 3. Why didn't bonnie just motus kais bit*h a$$ tf outta the cave & dip out with damon???!?! I found myself yelling at the tv during the entire scene & have discovered that i may qualify for anger management counseling. On a brighter note the part where he catches the bourbon bottle that stefan throws deserve an emmy for most likely to make you cry if you're pmsing.

Damon's return was not as I expected, his friends are supposed to find a way to get him back but instead they just gave up and Bonnie did all the work.. Also I thought his return will be more epic

Damon and Bonnie are at the site where the device should work with the eclipse.

Elena asks the premed student interested in her to the Homecoming in a corn maze.

Ivy is furious with Stefan. She says she used to be a good person - got good grades, went home for Christmas, had an Etsy store. Stefan puts her in a trunk and takes her to the dorm to Caroline. Caroline is in a brown towel and pissed at Stefan for only contacting when he needs something. Stefan wants her to show the ropes to Ivy.

Bonnie puts an axe into Kai and assumes it kills him. Bonnie and Damon are ready to go home when Kai shoots Bonnie. Bonnie sacrifices herself by using the last of her magic to get Kai to back off and Damon to the device.

Stefan is at the family crypt drinking bourbon. He throws the bottle and is shocked to see Damon catch it.
