The casting of Kevin Conroy as an older version of Batman in the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” Arrowverse crossover is getting a strong reaction from fans. We’ve already taken a look at why Conroy, who has provided the voice for numerous animated and video game iterations of Batman, is a great selection, and our opinion is shared by many people on social media, who probably can’t believe their luck following the recent news of everyone from Brandon Routh to Tom Welling, and even Burt Ward, featuring in the Arrowverse’s multiverse-spanning event this fall.
Many fans see the Conroy news as the most exciting so far though, with just some of the reactions shown below:

Kevin Conroy has been voicing Batman for almost 30 years now, across TV shows, animated movies, video games and more, but this fall the veteran Dark Knight performer will finally get the chance to play the hero in live-action. It was announced today that the Batman: The Animated Series star will appear in the Arrowverse’s big “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover as an older Bruce Wayne.
Since the news came out, Conroy has been celebrating with his fans on Twitter and it seems he’s just as excited about the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as the rest of us. One fan shared a Gif of the actor saying his iconic line “I am Batman” and Conroy reminded us that we may well see him say it in the flesh very soon. “Finally, on screen!” he responded.

At this point, it’s getting increasingly more difficult to decide which piece of new pertaining to “Crisis on Infinite Earths” is most awesome. So far, we’ve learned that both Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh will suit up as different iterations of Superman, with the latter portraying the Man of Steel from the Kingdom Come timeline. And if that weren’t enough, Lamonica Garrett’s pulling double duty as the Monitor and Anti-Monitor, Elizabeth Tulloch returns as Lois Lane, Batman ’66 alum Burt Ward will show up, and – get this – Tom Welling and Lynda Carter are supposedly joining the party as well!
Now, alongside The CW confirming Cress Williams will get in on the action as Black Lightning comes word that beloved voice actor Kevin Conroy will make the leap from DC animation to live action by playing a Bruce Wayne from the future. If you were to ask me,...

Since the concluding moments of “Elseworlds” graced our screens last fall, we’ve known that the next Arrowverse crossover event will be that of “Crisis on Infinite Earths.” To anyone remotely familiar with Marv Wolfman and George Perez’s classic from the 1980’s, this came as huge news, as it remains one of DC’s biggest and most popular tales ever published.
When The CW’s fall upfronts rolled around this past May, it was revealed that “Crisis” will unfold across two quarters of broadcasting, thereby forcing us to believe we were in for a winter cliffhanger of some sort. Well, thanks to today’s official announcement, that’s been revealed to be true.
