- Annie and McQuaid's relationship deepens as they track down Belenko's next target in Buenos Aires. Joan determines that it's in the CIA's best interest to keep Belenko alive.
- Now Auggie has been saved, priority goes to the last other survivor of his Chechenya team, veteran James Decker. He has gone astray and is jailed in Buenos Aires. As his CIA team is targeted there by a small army of goons and corrupt police, Auggie finds he has been bugged by Belenko. This means arranging for Decker's release would take too long, so Ryan volunteers to provoke his arresting cop in order to be jailed in the same penitentiary and launch a prison-break, but Belenko is already in Argentina. As the Russian embassy is too accommodating after Calder beats up Mashkov for abusing Sydney and even offers to help track down 'rogue' Belenko, Joan suspects that the FSM wants to shut him up and asks the team to take him alive if possibly.—KGF Vissers
- Buenos Aires
McQuaid, Annie and Auggie arrive at a house where Auggie thinks his old friend James Decker lives. Inside, they find mail piled up from the last three months. The place was ransacked. There are photos of Decker coaching a youth soccer league and a jersey with a lawyer sponsor's name on it.
They visit the lawyer, Javier Carmona, who tells them Decker tried to keep a drug dealer away from one of his players but it turned out he had a cop on his payroll, so Decker went to jail for assaulting the cop.
Auggie goes with Carmona to visit Decker in jail. Auggie updates Decker on Belenko being after them and taking out their old squad for killing Belenko's brother Mikael Corcoran. Decker doesn't like the idea of being involved with the CIA, but Auggie insists on sending some people to get Decker out of jail.
Auggie calls Joan to get Decker out. She's peeved about just learning Decker is alive but agrees, saying it'll take 24-48 hours.
Joan stars to lead a meeting updating everyone and notices Calder Michaels isn't there.
Cut to Mashkov's hotel suite, where Calder is waiting for him. Calder accuses Mashkov of trying to kill Stephanie (who Mashokov knows as Sydney) and beats him until Mashkov points out it was Balenko who went after her.
Walking to a safe house in Buenos Aires, McQuaid notices Argentine police trailing them from three directions. (Auggie mentions his ex, Natasha, is safe in Canada waiting for her immunity deal.)
The trio manages to lose the police and get back to McQuaid's back-up car, but they're soon being followed.
McQuaid lets Annie and Auggie out and they head somewhere they can search themselves for any hidden trackers. McQuaid ditches his car and snaps pictures of the lead officer.
Back at Langley, Calder asks for a comparison of the crime scene where Olga Akarova, the Russian operative, was killed and of Sydney's attack.
Calder returns to his office to find an angry Joan waiting for him. The Russians have already called her about Mashkov, but he assures her he's handling everything.
In Buenos Aires, Auggie and Annie hide out in a giant church and she searches him for trackers. McQuaid joins them and reports that it's special ops hawks who are following them. McQuaid tailed them to the church, which means they are being tracked. Auggie realizes he has contacts in his eyes that Belenko must have put in when he was passed out to track him. Belenko wanted him to escape so Auggie could lead them straight to Decker. The local cops are on Belenko's payroll.
They plant the contacts on someone and watch the cops track the contacts, knowing that it won't be long before they trace their steps back to the prison where Decker is.
Joan meets with a Russian diplomat named Maxim Gamelsky to apologize for Calder's beating of Mashkov. Maxim quickly agrees that Mashkov won't press charges and distances himself from Belenko.
Joan finds his agreeability suspicious and reports to Calder that she thinks Belenko knows more than the Russians want him to know and prefer him dead.
At yet another McQuaid safe house in Buenos Aires, Annie, McQuaid and Auggie check out the prison schematics and find it's over an old sewer. McQuaid volunteers to get arrested to break Decker out and Auggie gives him an old SOS they used to use to Decker will know McQuaid is on his side.
They find the cop who busted Decker and McQuaid punches him to ensure he ends up in the same jail as Decker.
Out in the yard, McQuaid doesn't get a chance to tell Decker he's a friend before Decker jumps on him. McQuaid finally gets out the SOS signal and explains he's there to break him out.
Auggie hacks into the prison intercom to wait for word on McQuaid and Decker. Joan calls Annie to ask that they try to capture Belenko alive if possible, Annie doesn't make any promises. Auggie hears guards discussing a fight in which two white dudes ended up in the infirmary.
Annie takes off and drives to outside the prison. Inside the infirmary, Decker and McQuaid take on the guards and Decker releases another two inmates to come with them.
Waiting near the old sewer output, Annie sees the lead corrupt officer drive up and watches as Alexsandre Belenko gets out of his car. Annie calls Auggie, wanting a way to warn the guys inside, but Auggie says there is none.
Inside, the guys find the sewer access as the lead hawk closes in on them.
Annie watches outside as the prison alarm sounds and the hawk runs out, followed by the guards. When Annie mentions Belenko, Decker is angry when she won't let him go back and kill him.
Annie drives the guys to meet Auggie and the lawyer and drops of Decker. McQuaid knows Annie wants to go back to get Belenko and immediately agrees to join her. She kisses him and tells him she loves him.
They ditch their car and wait for Belenko and dozens of prison guards to find it. Balenko waits by the car as the guards search nearby. Annie and McQuaid jump Balenko and the one officer left with him. They stuff Belenko in his car and drive off.
The police follow and order road blocks. Annie sees one and decides to run through one, blowing over spike strips. She makes it far enough on shot tires for them to pile out and drag Belenko to hide around the corner of a building.
Meanwhile, Auggie, the lawyer and Decker arrive at a helipad where a helicopter is waiting. Two agents are there, and insist on taking Auggie and Decker with them. Auggie checks in with Joan, who confirms their orders. Auggie isn't happy, but goes along with his boss, leaving Annie behind.
Back in DC, Stephanie is fighting for her life in a hospital bed. Calder gets a report confirming Alan Langer was the one who shot Stephanie. He was spotted in the area recently and Joan has already dispatched a team to get him. Calder goes to join them.
Wandering through the streets of Buenos Aires, Annie and McQuaid are without cell reception as they try to get Belenko to their extraction point. They round a corner and see six of Belenko's hawks lying executed in the street. "That is a message. The Russians want me dead," Belenko says.
