Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • This episode explores the upper limits of the TVY7 rating with the violence in this episode. There are two massive space battles, one of which ends with numerous ships destroyed with implied mass casualties and deaths, though none are directly seen.
  • Darth Vader engages in an intense lightsaber fight with Kaanan and Ezra, in which he nearly causes Ezra to decapitate himself with his own saber and comes close to cutting off Kaanan's arm. Vader also nearly kills Sabine by reflecting her own blaster bolts back at her chest and head. Kaanan and Ezra drop a burning Imperial Walker on top of Vader in an attempt to outright kill him.
  • Earlier in the episode, Vader has Maketh Tua murdered by blowing up her shuttle in an attempt to frame the Ghost crew for her death, sparking a wild firefight that results in much property damage and peril to the heroes.
  • An entire village is shown to have been burned to the ground, though it is established that most of the residents were arrested and sent to a prison camp rather than being killed.
  • Numerous stormtroopers are pummeled and beaten by the heroes in the course of the story.

Profanity

  • None, other than the in-universe expletive "Karabast"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Nearly the entirety of the episode is suspenseful, with every character, save for Darth Vader and Lando Calrissian, in genuine uncertainty about whether they will survive the episode.
  • Maketh Tua's murder early in the episode is particularly unsettling when first witnessed as it comes out of (seemingly) nowhere.
  • Darth Vader's two major set-piece battles are terrifying in the efficiency in which he defeats all who stand before him.
