A Good Wrap Up
PartialMovieViewer19 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
This is one show I will truly miss. The cast selections were always spot-on, the writing excellent and it was a tightly wrapped entertainment package, from day one. From the first moment I sat down to watch, I was hooked and I could not miss a week. This finale was full speed ahead pulling out all the stops. I like how everyone's life-story went full circle. Terms were met and old friendships rekindled. It was a fun ride while it lasted.

As far as the ending goes, it wasn't what I expected. I really had my suspicions that Jane would turn out being "Red John" - or Lisbon and Patrick would be killed by some fluke of nature or a car wreck. I know there was a temptation there. You guys did not take the bate and did a fantastic job wrapping it all up. It was really nice seeing the old CBI cast come out share with the farewells. I may have to catch myself waiting for the next "Mentalist", but there still are reruns. Overall - Excellent for me. Spectacular writing, direction and production - and that superb cast - made for some wonderful viewing - thanks. NOW what is next?

Déjàvu

Patrick Jane believes the serial-killer is seeking out a psychic, and his colleagues convince him to pose as a renowned psychic in TV and radio shows. Out of the blue, he is contacted by a man named Lazarus to discuss the case in a radio show. When Patrick leaves the station with a FBI agent, he is abducted by the serial-killer Lazarus, whose real name is Joe Keller Jr. The man wants Patrick to communicate with the spirits of his deceased father. Patrick uses all his skills to lure the guy and try to escape.

"Brown Shag Carpet" is an excellent episode of "The Mentalist", with Patrick Jane living a déjàvu of his con-artist days. The conclusion, with Lisbon arriving a minute before the explosion, is a great cliffhanger. My vote is nine.
