Very Enjoyable

Warning: Spoilers
At first – I wanted to give this show a big, "MEH." I then watched, "Santa's Midnight Run." Now the jury is not back yet on this new show. Although, I will admit, I really liked this episode and I really like Rebecca Romijn. I really, really, really liked Rebecca as Michelle Maxwell in "Maxwell and King" – but that show went belly-up for some stupid reason. Oh well. Now this is just my opinion, but of all the women on TV now playing 'ass-kickers' she is probably one of the few who could actually succeed. Ms. Romijn does not need to be snippy or snarky to take command…she just needs to be present and command is shortly relinquished. Another biggie in the show is John Larroquette. He is always fun to watch. His comic timing is always spot-on and he always plays an enjoyable character. The rest of the cast are very good and they all do an excellent job supporting one another. I internally cheer for them...yippee! Not enough? OK - this particular episode featured the very special co-star The Mighty Bruce Campbell. Granted, he had no books to steal; no evil dead to re-kill, and no chainsaws attached to his arm – but he did have civilization to save. Without any mumbled incantations or sawed off shotgun, Mr. Campbell took on the challenge and successfully completed his mission. I was ready to throw this show to the curb, but after watching, "And Santa's Midnight Run", I think this program has some real potential. I will continue to watch.

Truly Captures Spirit of Christmas

Gosh, this show was fun. You don't have to be a regular watcher of "The Librarians" to enjoy it; I am not (nothing against the show, I just don't watch a lot of TV). But the combination of Bruce Campbell and John Larroquette was irresistible and I simply had to see it. It is lighthearted and fun but still has a heartfelt underpinning of "Peace on earth, goodwill towards men."

Includes the tropes of "Skeptic Who Comes to Believe," "Person Who Wants to Believe and Has Their Wish Come True," "Crook Who Does a Heel Face Turn," and Santa Icon Who is Truly Believable (that would be the incredibly awesome Mr. Campbell).

Highly recommended.

Loved it!!

Warning: Spoilers
The Librarians Christmas episode aired on Sunday, December 21, 2014. The episodes just get better each week and the Santa episode is no exception.

Bruce Campbell portrayed Santa and I must give kudos to the writers, Paul Guyot and John Rogers, I know of, and I'm sure there were others.

Since it has been a couple of days, I will risk a spoiler or two, but if you haven't seen the episode, please stop. You will want to experience it yourself!

In this version of Santa, the premise is that he gathers all the goodwill of mankind throughout the year. And then, on Christmas Eve, delivers this gift back to the world - as hope. What a wonderful interpretation of the magic of Santa Claus.

Belief systems aside, I loved this episode. What is wrong with giving hope back to our world? With all the dark, horrible things that happen each day; with news shows that only get ratings by airing the most controversial and horrendous stories; we can all use some hope.

This episode made me laugh, it made me cry, it allowed me to believe in Santa Claus again.

Thank you, Christian Kane for the reminder of family from Jacob Stone; Lindy Booth for the joy from Cassandra when learning Santa was real; John Kim for the cheeky Ezekial Jones discovering he has a good side, even temporarily; Bruce Campbell for creating a very believable Santa; John Larraquette, for all the little clues from Jenkins about what the future may hold.

Thank you Dean Devlin, Electric Entertainment, TNT, and the cast and crew for an awesome gift!!

Great Episode!

I thought this was a great episode and that it gave us a chance to see different sides of some of the characters. Of course, I adore Christian Kane's character, Jake. He is great with the witty one liners and he can get a point across with nothing but a facial expression! Col. Baird gave a better performance last night than in previous episodes and I really hope that her softer side will show in future episodes. John Kim, aka Ezekiel Jones, was hilarious in this one and his character is beginning to have more depth. I could watch him acting like a little kid all day! It just made me smile and actually got me in the spirit a little more than I was before I watched. I am still waiting for Cassandra to grow on me and hope it will be soon. All in all, I like this show a lot and hope it continues to move forward and develop the characters, especially Jake Stone. I am a huge fan of Christian Kane and could watch him in a documentary about paint drying! The Librarians is a great family show!

The Librarians...And Santa's Midnight Run...Excellent!!

Loved this episode of #TheLibrarians!! I would have to say the best 1 hour representation of Christmas...They present Christmas and goodwill in a spectacular way that gives you those "feel good" goosebumps :) They prove that you don't have to be a child to believe and anything is possible ;) This series is family fun on a Sunday night - great way to finish the weekend and start the week. Full of humour, history, education, adventure, imagination and lots of magic! The cast is wonderful and work very well together, their guest stars are fantastic, the stories are well written and produced; everyone has worked hard to bring this together for public enjoyment. My kids and I LOVE it!!! In Canada, every Sunday at 6pm on Space, that's where you'll find us.... ;)
