DC Entertainment has released a clip from their upcoming new animated series Constantine, giving us our first look at the animated version of the character in action. The series actually looks a lot better than what I was expecting! The animation is pretty solid and it's great to see Matt Ryan bringing the demon hunting character to life again. I always like Matt Rayn in this role. He brought the perfect kind of attitude and charm to the character that you can't help but like.
In the clip, we see John Constantine bring a bunch of demons together in a church where they proceed to battle each other to a bloody pulp.

Those who aren’t familiar with anything but the cute Teen Titans series are in for quite a surprise as the heroes return to their darker roots in Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, which is one of the most incredible efforts from the comics. The feature-length film is inspired by a story arc from the 1984 DC comic, and has an incredible voice cast backing the supremely gritty arc.
The Blu-Ray Giftset, which includes an exclusive Blue Beetle figurine, will hit on April 18th, with Digital HD release on April 4th.
In The Judas Contract, the Titans – Beast Boy, Raven, Blue Beetle, Robin, and Nightwing – are led by Starfire, but their newest teammate, Terra, is throwing the groups dynamic out of whack, and the team comes up against Brother Blood, an ancient evil, and Deathstroke is waiting in the wings to cause problems as well.

Justice League Vs. Teen Titans is Warner Brothers' other versus film coming out this March. During last weekend's WonderCon I had a chance to see an advanced screening of the animated movie that's in the same cineverse as films like Son of Batman and Justice League: War.
If you've seen those previous films then your expectations should be perfectly dialed in for what the tone, quality of animation, and voice acting will be like. That said, Justice League Vs. Teen Titans feels pretty safe in terms of story. While solidly told, it's not mind blowing for a team "origin" story. The story is so simple giving a summary would give away too much (so sorry for the short review).
The Teen Titans comprise Raven, Blue Beetle, and Beast Boy. They're appropriately awkward and overpowered, which keeps their showdown with members of The Justice League from ending quickly. Starfire is the...

Plot:
After Batman goes missing, Dick Grayson takes up his mantle as He and Damian Wayne have to protect Gotham City, while also trying to find the original Batman. Two new allies, Batwoman and Batwing arrive to help investigate Batman’s disappearance.
Verdict:
So here we are with another ‘Original’ movie from DC, who were once a Juggernaut when it came to releasing a constant stream of excellent animated movies that eclipsed the majority of DC’s live-action catalogue. But it does appear (apart from a few films like Jl: Gods and Monsters and Batman: Assault on Arkham) that things are not going to change any time soon (especially with how Justice League vs.

When Warner Brothers unveiled its massive Dceu film schedule which runs through 2020, one notable absence was that of a solo Batman film starring Ben Affleck as the character. Not long after, the studio did confirm that a solo "The Batman" film is in the works. Subsequently came reports that Affleck himself is set to star, likely to co-write and might possibly direct it as well.
Speaking with USA Today about the chances of the latter, Affleck says his "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" director Zack Snyder has inspired him to dive into the material - something he never would have expected to do before he shot 'Dawn':
"I'll just say going through the process, I would never have imagined that I could or would direct a movie like this. And in working with (Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder) and seeing what he did and watching him every day,...

Warner Bros. Animation has produced many incredible animated Batman films over the past 25 years, and their next offering, Batman: Bad Blood, looks to continue that proud tradition.
With the film’s home video release just weeks away, WB has treated fans to yet another clip. In it, we see Nightwing/Dick Grayson (voiced by Sean Maher) engage in a well choreographed battle with the hulking villain known as Blockbuster. While the two engage in a brutal round of fisticuffs, the filmmakers provide some levity to the situation as Nightwing attempts to have a conversation with his girlfriend, Starfire (voiced by Kari Wahlgren). It sounds like she yearns for his company, to put it lightly. Their conversation is cut short by Alfred, who alerts the young hero of a most dire emergency. Perhaps this is when they discover Batman has gone missing.

Sure, nothing regarding either Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice or Suicide Squad emerged, but there was still plenty to devour regarding a variety of comics, graphic novels, and even the upcoming animation adventure, Batman: Bad Blood. In fact, the trailer for Bad Blood was screened, and you can check it out in the video below, if you skip ahead to 01:17. I.m sold. Sure, obviously DC animation missed a great opportunity to tap into a younger market by not including Taylor Swift.s Bad Blood song in the trailer, but I.m pretty sure that it wouldn.t have matched up with it well anyway. Batman: Bad Blood is actually the sequel to Batman vs. Robin, the animated superhero film that was released direct to video...

DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation bring fans of the Dark Knight his latest adventure Batman vs. Robin. Writer J. M. DeMatteis does an incredible job blending together Grant Morrison’s Batman & Robin: Batman vs. Robin and Scott Snyder’s Batman: The Court of Owls graphic novels into one action-packed thrill ride through the darkness of Gotham City. It doesn’t hurt that the ever angry and charismatic Damien Wayne and his strained relationship with his father Bruce are parts of the main focus of the story.
In Batman vs. Robin, Damian Wayne has a hard time accepting his father's no-killing rule. He soon starts to believe his destiny lies within a secret society. The Son of Batman finds himself the target of a vigilante calling himself Talon. The mysterious man wants Damian to take his place as the lead assassin of the enigmatic Court of Owls.

Plot:
Damian Wayne has established himself as Robin, but he and Batman continue to clash over the latter’s rule of not killing criminals. But when he becomes the recruiting target of a criminal secret society called the Court of Owls, the Dynamic Duo face their greatest challenge yet…each other!
Verdict:
Never have I watched a DC animated film and said ‘What?’ every few moments before this one, because Batman vs. Robin in my is view one of their worst offerings (it is just as bad if not worse than Son of Batman and Justice League: War) in recent years. When I first heard the title of this film, I was pretty excited about it because I...

The Babadook Along with It Follows, The Babadook is a bit of a re-energizer in the horror genre, delivering mood and atmosphere over jump scares and gore. I will say the little kid played by Noah Wiseman got on my damn nerves early and often, but overall this is an effective little feature. You can read my theatrical review here.
Sullivan's Travels (Criterion Collection) I am woefully behind on my Criterion reviews as I have been inundated with my day-to-day duties and screeners, but I will be catching up soon and Preson Sturges' Sullivan's Travels will be one of the first ones I get to. I have heard plenty about this movie, but never seen it myself. I can't wait to give it a look. Here's the description from Criterion: Tired of churning out lightweight comedies, Hollywood director John L. Sullivan (Joel McCrea) decides to make O Brother, Where Art Thouc--a serious,...

Following the trailer for Batman Vs. Robin, Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have released the cover art for the animated film along with some additional details. The reaction from fans regarding this movie have been mixed, especially since a lot of people didn't seem very happy with the last movie, Son of Batman. I think it will offer some fun entertainment regardless.
The movie is being directed by Jay Oliva (Batman: Assault on Arkham) from a script written by J.M. DeMatteis. Here's a new synopsis for the film that offers some additional story details:
The shadows of Gotham City are no place for a child but Damian Wayne is no ordinary child. Now bearing the mantle of Robin, he blazes a headstrong and sometimes reckless trail alongside his father, Batman. While investigating a crime scene, Robin encounters a mysterious figure, Talon, who leads him on a life-altering course through the...

Warner Bros. Animation has released the first trailer for their upcoming DC Entertainment feature-length film Batman Vs. Robin. This movie looks like it's going to be really cool. The animation is really well done, and it tells an intriguing story. The movie is being directed by Jay Oliva, who has directed five previous DC Animation features, and the story will revolve around a secret society named the Court of Owls, which dates back to the early days of Gotham City. They kidnap children and raise them to be assassins. It will obviously incorporate elements of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo's comic series.
The voice cast for the film features Jason O'Mara (Sons of Liberty) returning as Batman; Stuart Allen (Bad Teacher) as Robin; Sean Maher (Arrow) coming back for Nightwing; David McCallum (NCIS) as Alfred; Jeremy Sisto (Six Feet Under) as Talon; voice actor Grey Griffin as a mysterious...

Jason O'Mara (Sons of Liberty) will return as Batman, with Stuart Allen (Bad Teacher) voicing Robin and Sean Maher (Arrow) once again reprising the role of Nightwing. Another familiar voice will be David McCallum (NCIS) as Alfred. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice storyboard artist Jay Oliva is directing. New additions include Jeremy Sisto (Six Feet Under) as Talon, voice actor Grey Griffin as a mysterious character known only as Samantha, and bizarrely, Al Yankovic as The Dollmaker.
