In Spanish it means "imperishable". In America it is used as a derivative of the Latin "amore" to mean "beloved" and in Arabic it means "A sign".
- GoofsDean says that Sam recited the spell to free Amara. Sam didn't recite the spell, Rowena did.
- Quotes
Dean Winchester: [He and Sam are walking back to the car, the left rear tire stick in a muddy hole] We know what she looks like, and we know that she's evil. The question is what does *she* know? I mean, she's been locked away since the beginning of time. Does she even know what a cheeseburger is? All I know is that we set her free, and we're gonna put her back in no matter what it takes.
[He opens the car door, sits down, then immediately gets back out again, looking at the rear tire. He turns to Sam]
Dean Winchester: You let me get in the car?
Sam Winchester: You were on a roll.

We get The Darkness, which is a pretty lame title for the malevolent entity that is going to take up a full season of dumb mistakes by the Winchesters, as usual. I guess plan B was "God's Sister" or just "Amora Notahora?" "The Darkness" sounds darker?
If she had come out of a dark brown cave instead of dozens of streams of black smoke, it would have been less repetitive. The streams of smoke seem to be used for just about everything. It was nice to see the first five thousand times, but it is getting old at this point.
As usual, the brothers have their guilt-regret-sadness arguments, and Castiel shows up to take some guilt. He has such a pathetic guilt-ridden face that you hope somebody kills him off. It is a drag to see him.
Rowena, like her son Crowley, always gets the best of the moronic brothers. It would be shocking if they were ever ahead of anyone or anything. They have to get sucker-punched, captured, engage in the dumb macho talk with the evil villain, and then they discover they are outgunned, and facing death again.
