Turn Rocks!!

This show just keeps getting better, and better....Excellent writing, directing, and the acting is superb....I am seriously hooked!!

This episode by far has been my favorite... A doubting Washington is not something we get to see very often, if ever.. He's always portrayed as someone above human emotion and imperfection, but of course he was very human... I loved the interaction between him and William, and the final words of wisdom given by a long ago lost brother ...Also glad to see Major Hewlett make his escape from the oh so nasty Mr. Simco...

3 more episodes left... 10 episodes is not enough AMC, not nearly enough...

Washington is stressed (no surprise), Abe and his Dad don't see eye to eye (equally as obvious), and the Simcoe/Hewlett showdown lasts 2 mins.

Warning: Spoilers
I understand many will like the deep dramatic storyline involving Washington, but the whole, 'Valley Forge sucked' theme is redundant. Episode takes nearly 40 mins to finally get to a plot point that matters and by then, you (the viewer) are only provided with 2 mins to enjoy it. There is very little continuity between this episode in the last (where's Tallmadge/Brewster? Anna? etc?). Why not spend some time developing the situation with Mary and Abe's Dad? Clearly, when he shows up at the jail he had a change of heart. Why not have that be a major element of the episode rather than Washington being stressed? Washington is important to the story but he is not a major character when compared to Tallmadge, Brewster, Abe, Anna, John Andre. There are more important plots to spend time on and develop rather than just throw it in the viewers face. You see the Abe/Abe's Dad disagreement play out once again, which was a waste of episode time, and then at the end, Simcoe shows up out of nowhere and gets stabbed by Hewlett, who runs off. 40 mins of empty space, 2 mins of actual plot. Boring episode for me.
