Warning: Spoilers
One of the best episodes in a long time regarding this show. Danny and Chin are arrested for what has occurred in the past; murder and money laundering.

Naturally, the CIA has plenty of reasons that they don't want discussed for doing this.

Steve shows that he is a real friend of Danno by going all out for him and the latter pays the compliment for willingness to be extradited to Colombia to face brutal treatment and lord knows what type of imprisonment, only if he could survive a week or so there.

Wait until you find out how Joe gets his information to help McGarrett get Danny and Chin out of this predicament.

Excellent Show
PartialMovieViewer11 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
From Maggarrett to Danno and to the 'very special' guest star - Jimmy Buffet...this show was excellent. With Hawaii 5.0 I never know what to expect. Talk about being fickle, sometimes the episodes are easy to avoid and others are hard to turn away from. This week was a well put together package. I was riveted. Which is kind of odd since I am usually turned off by the Navy SEAL super-spy plots - the show's occasional opportunism at Team expense, plays down that force's importance, ending up as unintentionally coming across as disrespectful. This week - I enjoyed the story(s). Neither were too far fetched or silly (ok - maybe a little). I think the gang did it right though, Steve was toned down some and his mentor (the guy older than me, but I can't remember his name and am too lazy to look it up) was actually believable this time. I am really beginning to like this new/old character. As I said before, this episode was a bit over the top...so what else is new...I liked it this time around. Besides this is TV and it is entertainment, so being over-the-top at times is a good thing. Additionally, I am so glad this show has not hitched its wagon to silly PC messages. I can't stand listening to someone else's personal impassioned plea on my dime, besides political opinions lose half an audience while permanently tainting the well. Stay on track, and keep this kind of pace and I will return to the 'loyal fan' fold. Good show this week...Bravo Zulu

Was A Huge Let Down! Should Had Been Two Parts
ShelbyTMItchell11 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
Really the episode was a huge let down. As both Danny and Chin Ho were not arrested for as the episode suggests deadly past transgressions. As it seemed to be all about a grudge.

For the Record it was not the CIA but the State Department that wanted in particular Danny to "pay" for something.

Joe the Navy SEAL mentor of Steve's realizes this. As Steve gathers up Kono, Grover, and the Jimmy Buffet character. To rescue Danny and clear the names of their friends.

Really to drop Danny in a South American prison with corrupt guards. Just for nothing and you would think Steve would had been going with Danny. Didn't make any sense at all. And Chin Ho barely got any screen time at all.

The episode should had been two parts rather than one rushed hour. Will need to see the episode to see what I mean. Rather than give it away. What a pretty much a waste.

I am not the biggest Steve fan for the past couple of years due to his controlling and sometimes foolish ways. Sure he is a Navy SEAL and they are suppose to lead. But to play God with Danny's life like his Camaro or what to eat. But at least he kind of redeemed himself with me. In this episode.

WTF was that?

Warning: Spoilers
Oh wow. What a mess. The thing about a lot of episodes of this series, and this one here in particular, is that there's a whole lot of setup, but NO come back. They set up this huge big story or action scene ... and then ... nothing. So there flying over to Columbia, and have to fight off air defenses. Their goal: Take over a abandoned refinery and take control of a HUGE stash of cocaine. OK. Next thing, they're back in HawaI'i and talk with the bad guy: "Oh, BTW, FYI, we burned your cocaine, but we found this". Wouldn't it be nice to SHOW us how the did it? But no, ALL the story lines crammed into this episode just end with some (not very witty) one-liner. And there's much of story; the two story lines (Dann-O and Chin Ho) just scream to be told separately, in two episodes, as a two-parter, but Dann-O's story could have been stretched over two or three episodes alone without being boring and filled with action.

Really A Letdown
shelbythuylinh28 November 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Danny is sent to a Colombian jail over Marco Reyes murder and find out the State Department want payback over drugs that the CIA was being provided.

Chin is arrested by IAB over in his role to provide money there. And could lose his badge and gun there as it is his IAB nemesis.

Joe White Navy SEAL mentor and friend and father figure of Steve's says there is a bigger picture and have to find ways to clear their names.

Of course Danny's situation is more serious and he could lose his life overseas. Steve has to recruit all hands on deck there.

But really should had been a two parter and really it was a waste of time.
