The 20 actors who returned from the movie are the first ones listed in the end credits of each episode under the heading "Starring". This episode features 18 of those actors, the most of any episode in the series. The only two actors who aren't credited are Amy Poehler and A.D. Miles. This is the only episode in which Poehler doesn't make an appearance.
In the episode "Day Is Done" the fight between Camp Firewood and Camp TigerClaw is a reference to the rumble between the "Socs" and "Greasers" in The Outsiders (1983).
The map shown to the President near the start of this episode is, with the exception of the labels for the fictitious Camp Firewood and Camp Tigerclaw, a real one. If the two camps were also real, they would face each other from the eastern and western shores of Silver Lake, Maine, just north of the remains of the historic Katahdin Iron Works.
There is a fight scene between 2 camps which is very similar to the News Anchor fight in Anchorman. Both these fights starred Paul Rudd.
