A fun experience with an ending that made me sad
danteasdale45826 January 2024
Maybe it's you was a fun romantic comedy with great performances all around.

Unfortunalty, like some of the other reviewers said... its ending made me sad and I don't think it should have ended like that.

Basically best friends end up dating after they both become single. Their chemestry is amazing It ends up taking a turn for the worst when you see this amazing and fun guy turn into a total jerk bag. The stuff he ends up doing is so not fair and will most likely make you a little angry.

Id say it's totally worth a watch for our characters fun chemistry but be prepared to most liked now how it ends.

Bad ending

Warning: Spoilers
I liked the movie, it was funny and clever and refreshing, and I liked all the snappy comebacks between the two lead characters. They were very credible. I would have definitely liked to watch it again if it were not for the ending. But it was not a Hallmark movie. It doesn't get all tied up in a bow at the end like you think it's going to be. There was a tiny bit of language and sex.

I hardly ever write reviews, but I'm just so mad at the way the movie ended! I think I would've given it a 7 or an 8 if it had had a better ending. Very unhappy about the ending. Did you catch on that I do not like the ending? ;)

Don't Bother - Horrible

Warning: Spoilers
I am disgusted I wasted my time on this movie.

I found the characters to be extremely annoying, some even downright unlikable. I couldn't stand the "banter" between the two main characters. It was grating. In my opinion, none of the characters had any chemistry with each other, so the fact this was meant to be a rom-com is a head scratcher.

I know a lot of people are unhappy with the ending, which I can understand. But given how the entire movie went, I was not shocked with how it played out.

I would warn if you are lookong for a fun, pick me up movie to steer clear of this one. This movie did not bring any smiles to my face, and I did not laugh once.

SPOILER: Ending isn't for everyone

Warning: Spoilers
If you go into this movie expecting it to have the picture perfect romantic comedy ending, you're going to be disappointed.

However, if you can put that expectation to the side and try to enjoy a sweet movie that explores the complexities of romantic love vs. Platonic love, then you will probably enjoy this.

I don't want to diminish the movie by saying this, but it was sort of like the people who wrote Hallmark movies said "hey, let's make a movie where the outcome is like real life. Oh, and let's make sure the acting is good too!" (Again, not a knock on Hallmark or this movie. It just gave me the same "feel-good" vibes)

The ending was horrid

Warning: Spoilers
The girl tells him that she's a screw up and can't afford the life he wants and he just ends things immediately with her and marries the girl that just dumps him? What message does this ending covey? Go for the ones that are more financially stable rather than people you could be yourself with? The ending didn't sit with me right at all. The girl he ends up marrying is obviously not right for him. I have to say this is one of the worst endings I have seen. They should have ended up together in my opinion as money and suburbs aren't everything but rather the idea of being with someone who you can connect with on a deeper level should have been the base of this ending. Most movies come with deeper meaning but the ending felt rushed and not well thought through.

Bad ending

"May Be It's You" had so much potential, but unfortunately, the ending left a lot to be desired. The buildup was great, but the resolution felt rushed and unsatisfying. It's a shame because the rest of the movie had some interesting moments and characters.

I hope the filmmakers consider producing a second installment of "May Be It's You" to give the story a chance to live up to its intriguing title. There's still potential for a compelling sequel that could provide a more satisfying conclusion for the audience.

'to the actress: Your performance in "May Be It's You" was truly exceptional, and I'm immensely grateful for the emotion and depth you brought to the character. Your acting added a layer of authenticity to the film that made it memorable. Thank you for your outstanding work.'

Very bad ending.

Movie was overall good and very nice to follow but I feel like I just wasted a whole 2 hours of my life because the ending was so terrible. It leaves the viewer disappointed at the most important part of the whole film. It is a disservice to have created a movie with an ending that no one wants to see. No one should watch movies that make you feel horrible at the end of the movie. Unless they are making a second film for this, it is a totally useless waste of time and will make you angry if you watch this movie. The actors should not have wasted their skill on this. You will feel so disappointed.
