Fantastic episode for fans of the Mirage comics.

This show is one of the best iterations of the Turtles we have. It cheats a little in that it borrows heavily from all the sources we have before, but it does so with grace and gives it a fresh look that we can look past it.

This episode in particular is great for those who've read the original Mirage comics. Let's face it: the Mirage comics, while starting it all, were very cheesy at times, and the issue with Renet is no exception. I remember reading that issue many years ago and thought it corny and fantastic at the same time. We pretty much have the same plot happening here in Nick's version, except Renet has been far less sexualized (obviously). The show screams '70s and '80s fantasy; I practically smiled the whole time.

Finally a change from the Krang

Great episode! With a welcome change of locations and the introduction of new characters. The last series and the beginning of this series have been wholly focused on the Krang and Shredder. This one sees our heroes venturing out and even in new costumes!! Mikey kinda takes centre stage in this one and even has a love interest. The episode is also away from its normal film noire ( dark and rainy New York settings) themes with some great daytime scenery similar to the early episodes of series 3. With no mention of mutants and mutagen! It's refreshingly different. We need to see more standalone episodes like this as I personally thinks it helps break up the constant battles the guys have Shredder,Krang and the other mutants. All in all a great episode! With high hopes for its conclusion.
