At just 17, McKenna Grace already has a number of TV and movie hits on her hands. From starring in the charming drama-comedy Gifted in 2017 to her career defining role as a child bride in the popular dystopian series The Handmaid’s Tale, Grace has accumulated praise from all corners of the industry.
Recently, McKenna returned for a second helping in the latest instalment of the rebooted Ghostbusters franchise as Phoebe. In a conversation with HeyUGuys earlier this week, the young actor talked to us about her reaction to the insane Ghostbusters fandom and her time on the film’s press tour alongside.
We also spoke to director Gil Kenan about working alongside his friend Jason Reitman on the second instalment of this very daring reboot of a much loved franchise. Saying that James Marsden rose to fame as Cyclops (Scott Summers) after he starred in Fox’s 2000 flick adaptation of the mutant team, X-Men, won’t be wrong. Playing the mutant Scott Summers, who shoots intense energy beams from his eyes, Marsden made his X-Men team debut alongside Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, Famke Janssen’s Jean Grey, and Halle Berry’s Storm.
Despite being a prominent character in Marvel Comics, Cyclops’ role in the X-Men films was nevertheless greatly diminished. And he seemed so unimportant that the third installment of the series, X-Men: The Last Stand, could have done without him.

Let us discover more about the film first.
Behind-the-Scenes: Hugh Jackman’s X-Men: The Last Stand
Director Brett Ratner took over X-Men: The Last Stand after Bryan Singer left the series to work on Warner Bros.’ Superman Returns, as per the report from Variety.

When Sunny Deol Swore To Never Work With Yash Chopra After Darr Featuring Shah Rukh Khan As Well. (Photo Credit – IMDb)
Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan are two of the biggest superstars in the country. They featured together in Darr alongside Juhi Chawla. The movie is a cult classic today and a significant turning point in their careers, especially Srk. Shah Rukh’s obsessive part is still engraved in viewer’s minds. But Sunny reportedly had a hard time with the movie and vowed not to work with Yash Chopra again.
It was directed by the legendary Yash Chopra only. The film was both a critical and commercial success. The movie also featured Annu Kapoor, Anupam Kher, and Tanvi Azmi in the supporting cast. There were reportedly several conflicts on the set about the logic behind how Srk’s character stabs him easily, whereas Sunny’s character was a trained and senior commando.

The origins of "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" begin with the X-Men. A young Joss Whedon read their comic adventures, penned by Chris Claremont, and cites them as an influence on his work; teen heroine Buffy Summers herself is in the vein of Kitty Pryde/Shadowcat.
From 2004 to 2008, Whedon wrote the ongoing comic "Astonishing X-Men," teaming up with artist John Cassaday. Consider the timeframe: "Buffy" and "Angel" had wrapped as classics, "Firefly" was a freshly canceled-too-soon martyr, and Whedon hadn't cracked into the blockbuster movie mainstream with "The Avengers" yet, and allegations of his abusive behavior on set hadn't yet been publicized. His writing an "X-Men" comic felt like nerdy stars aligning.
Is "Astonishing X-Men" worth checking out? It's short and self-contained, which are rare blessings in superhero comics. Whedon also works overtime to repair the reputation of Scott Summers/Cyclops. In the concurrent "X-Men" movies, he was used only...

Hollywood is leaving milk and cookies out for Olivia Wilde this holiday season with news that she’s striking a deal with LuckyChap to direct Naughty, a comedy described as Bridesmaids in the North Pole. Cocaine Bear writer Jimmy Warden wrote the script with Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, and Josey McNamara, producing through LuckyChap.
According to Deadline‘s exclusive report, Naughty follows Mallory, whose only hope of securing custody of her son from her gaslighting trashbag ex is to find Santa Claus in the North Pole and convince him to testify in her divorce hearing.
In case you forgot, LuckyChap produced Barbie, which earned $1.4 billion at the worldwide box office. Combine Barbie‘s success level with Wilde’s in-demand status as a filmmaker, and you’ve got a recipe for making money fall in a blizzard-like fashion.
Wilde’s next film is the biographical sports drama Perfect, starring McKenna Grace and Thomasin McKenzie.

Disney has unveiled a first look at the upcoming live-action remake of “Snow White.”
In a new image, Rachel Zegler is transformed into the iconic Disney Princess, surrounded by her Seven Dwarfs. As of today, the film, which was originally set to open on March 22, 2024, has been delayed to March 21, 2025.
Zegler stars as Snow White and Gal Gadot plays The Evil Queen. Ansu Kabia co-stars as the Huntsman and Andrew Burnap plays a new character named Jonathan. The Seven Dwarfs have been reimagined for the remake, and Zegler has said that this new iteration will not be as focused on the romantic subplot but instead will show Snow White become the leader her father encouraged her to be. The reimagined storyline and Zegler’s casting — she will be the first Latina to play Snow White — have generated some online criticism for veering from the source material.

Some straight-to-streaming offerings inspire viewers to bemoan the movie’s fate, wishing it had received a proper theatrical release — to be seen the way movies are meant to be seen, and by the widest audience possible. “Crater” isn’t one of those, but neither is this Disney+ original mere algorithm-created dross. Kyle Patrick Alvarez’s lunar adventure follows five young friends as they hijack a rover to visit an enigmatic crater for one last hurrah before one of them leaves the moon forever. It’s sci-fi informed by a Gen-z sensibility, with a particular focus on those Zoomers who can’t imagine a bright future on the planet they actually inhabit — an ever-expanding demographic, one imagines.
The teens of 2257 dress and speak remarkably like those of today, perhaps because those who’ve grown up on the unnamed lunar colony have an unstuck-in-time quality — a result of their home environment having...

No one was safe when “The Bad Seed Returns” premiered on Lifetime last fall. To celebrate the success of the anticipated sequel to Rob Lowe‘s Lifetime original film “The Bad Seed,” check out our special 40-minute “Making of” roundtable discussion with star Mckenna Grace, who developed the story and co-wrote the script with her father Ross Burge. Grace also executive produced the film alongside her parents, Ross and Crystal Burge, with multiple-Emmy nominated producer Mark Wolper also returning to executive produce alongside writer Barbara Marshall, who also co-wrote the film. Together they are joined by Gold Derby senior editor Rob Licuria for a memorable Q&a about their highlights, key scenes and goosebump moments.
The delightfully unhinged Emma Grossman (Grace) is back and more diabolical than ever, so what made the team want to revisit her story after the shocking events of the first film? Was there much discussion...

Apple TV’s latest release, “Ghosted,” brings Chris Evans’ Cole, who is a farmer, face-to-face with Ana de Armas’ Sadie, who is a CIA agent. It takes a lot of chaos for the underlying sexual tension between them to turn into a romance. Many secondary characters address this, and it is very true. Let’s find out more about these two.
Spoilers Ahead
Cole
Cole comes across as needy, as per his family, especially his sister. And his texts to Sadie also point toward this nature of his. But he is also someone who cares for the people he loves. But there is something of a catch in his character. He was kidnapped and almost executed; numerous guys were shot in front of him, and he almost fell into a gorge while hanging from a truck. For a guy who has never left home in his life, which is another...

The slogan “Keep Austin Weird” doesn’t make much sense. It implies that weirdness requires effort and upkeep, like laundry or a monthly bill. But on the fourth and final night of Rolling Stone’s Future of Music Showcase, the weird, awesome stuff was there in abundance.

Apple TV+ dropped the trailer for the upcoming rom-com turned thriller “Ghosted,” which stars Chris Evans and Ana de Armas.
The trailer shows Evans’ character Cole certain that Sadie (de Armas) is not just “ghosting” him, or ignoring his texts, after one date. Convinced they are meant to be together, he travels to London in what he hopes to be a romantic gesture, only to discover Sadie is not the person he thought, and is actually part of the CIA. What ensues is a spy-thriller where “action speaks louder than words.”
De Armas joins the film after her recent Oscar nomination for “Blonde.” Her credits also include “Deep Water,” “Blade Runner 2049” and “No Time to Die.” Evans has played Captain America in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films, as well as performed in “Before We Go,” “Gifted” and “Playing It Cool.” Evans and de Armas previously acted together in “Knives Out” and “The Gray Man.

It would be possible to do a list of the best TV episodes of 2022 without placing any restrictions on it. That list would probably include five or six Atlanta episodes (including “The Goof Who Sat By the Door,” “Work Ethic!” and “Snip Hunt” from the final season), another three or four episodes from Reservation Dogs (including “Stay Gold Cheesy Boy,” “Mabel” and “Offerings”), and at least as many from Better Call Saul (out of 13 episodes, choose almost any one), Barry (starting with “710N”) and Better Things (take the series finale and work backwards). And that would be the list!
So instead, as usual, we set one simple if arbitrary restriction: no episodes from shows on either of our Top 10 lists. So between our lists — Dan’s Top 10 and Angie’s Top 10 — that eliminated 17 shows. But these are 10 great episodes (in alphabetical order by...

McKenna Grace has revealed that she underwent spinal surgery last month.
In a social media post that featured a video of her in the hospital post-surgery, the 16-year-old actor wrote: “Occasionally, life imitates art and the night my episode of Handmaid’s Tale where I was in a hospital bed came out, I was actually in a real hospital bed.”
Grace’s character found herself in a hospital bed in the episode titled “Together”, which aired on 12 October.
“Social media only reflects what we want people to know often we don’t see the ugly, hard, less-flattering sides of a person and their life,” she wrote in an Instagram post.
“For me, it’s been easier to hide my struggles and insecurities and maybe write about them in songs, but that didn’t fix them.”
Grace did not reveal the reason for the surgery.

Though he will likely forever be associated with his work as Captain America, Chris Evans the actor has become much more than simply the good guy behind the colorful shield. Just when you think you can peg him as an action star, Evans turns around and simply nails it in genre after genre — romance (“The Nanny Diaries”), mystery (“Knives Out”), comedy (“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World”) and drama (“Gifted”). And when future Oscar-winning director Bong Joon Ho needed a hero for his first English-language film, he turned to Evans for “Snowpiercer.” When Evans tried his hand in other media, he scored again, gathering much acclaim for his Apple TV Plus’s limited series “Defending Jacob” and earning a Drama Desk nomination for his Broadway debut in Kenneth Lonergan’s play “Lobby Hero.”
So let’s raise a glass and celebrate the Top 10 Chris Evans movies and TV ranked worst to best.

The Ghostbusters are back this weekend in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, opening in 4,300 theaters including IMAX and other large screens. It is the fourth film in Sony’s franchise and a direct sequel to the first two films, disregarding the 2016 reboot. Afterlife is a family affair, being written and directed by Jason Reitman, whose father Ivan Reitman directed Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II and is producing Afterlife. Even the story keeps it the family, focusing on the grandchildren of O.G. ghostbuster Egon Spengler, who was played in the original films by the late Harold Ramis. The cast is headlined by Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard ("Stranger Things"), Carrie Coon, and Mckenna Grace, but the real treat for fans is the return of the old gang as the film brings back Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts.

When Mckenna Grace was 4 years old, her great-grandmother gave Grace her collection of DVDs starring Hollywood’s original precocious child actor, Shirley Temple. Grace was instantly captivated and, precocious herself, cajoled her young mother, Crystal, into signing her up for an acting class in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where they lived at the time.
The teacher — who happened to be Morgan Fairchild’s sister — swiftly assessed Grace’s natural talent, and told her mother her child needed an agent.
“I said, ‘What’s an agent?'” Crystal told Variety.
Ten years later, Grace, now 15, has already appeared in over 50 films and TV titles, including on the CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless,” in the 2017 feature “Gifted” opposite Chris Evans and Octavia Spencer, and most recently, in an Emmy-nominated turn as a teenage wife on Season 4 of Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale.”

“Schitt’s Creek” star Emily Hampshire has signed on to star as the title character in a new, updated version of Norman Lear’s 1970s syndicated hit “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman.”
Hampshire will also be an executive producer on the project, and co-write the script with Jacob Tierney (“Letterkenny”), who will serve as showrunner. Sony Pictures TV is planning to shop the show to buyers in the coming weeks.
It’s the latest series remake to come out of the Lear cannon, following the recent critically acclaimed reimagining of “One Day at a Time,” and an animated take on “Good Times” that is currently in the works. Lear and Brent Miller’s Act III Prods. is developing the new “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” with Sony, with Lear and Miller as executive producers alongside Hampshire and Tierney.
“Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” reunites Hampshire with Tierney, as Hampshire previously starred in Tierney’s film “The Trotsky.

Another Norman Lear classic is eying a return to TV. Sony Pictures Television is developing a remake of Lear’s acclaimed 1970s series Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman.
It hails from Schitt’s Creek co-star Emily Hampshire, who will co-write, executive produce and star as the title character Mary Hartman; Letterkenny creator Jacob Tierney, who will co-write with Hampshire; and Lear and Brent Miller’s Act III Productions. A film acting career that spans seven decades is so extremely rare that it’s almost unheard of, but 86-year-old Sophia Loren is living proof that it is possible. Since her early days as an extra, the Italian screen legend has stunned audiences all over the world with her timeless beauty as well as her remarkable talent, for which she has been consistently rewarded. In 1995, she was chosen as the 10th female recipient of the Golden Globes’ highest honor: the Cecil B. DeMille Award. Though she has a total of five Globe wins to her name, she has still never prevailed in a competitive category – but, that could change this year.
In “The Life Ahead,” which was released on Netflix last November, Loren stars as Madame Rosa, a former prostitute who makes a living caring for other people’s children. The story focuses on the especially strong, life-changing bond she...

The name Alvin Ailey is synonymous with modern dance everywhere. The legendary dancer, director, and choreographer predominated contemporary dance through the latter half of the 20th century under the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, democratizing the art form with his racially diverse company and emotionally driven movements that spoke directly to the Black American experience. An eponymous documentary tribute to Ailey’s momentous life’s work offers a moving archive of his most momentous achievements, including his masterpiece “Revelations,” but struggles — as many of his friends and collaborators did — to fully understand the man behind the myth. Like all geniuses, an exceedingly rare class of true artists, Alvin Ailey surrendered most of himself to the gods of creativity.
Using audio interviews with Ailey from the end of his life as a guiding narration, director Jamila Wignot weaves a pastiche of archival footage from the Deep South, New York City in the ’70s,...

Icon, meet icon. Norman Lear has been tapped to receive the third-ever Carol Burnett Award at the 78th Annual Golden Globe Awards next month.
The TV legend follows last year’s honoree, Ellen DeGeneres, and Burnett herself, who accepted the inaugural kudo named after her in 2019. Lear will accept the award during the Golden Globes telecast on Feb. 28, although the logistics of the show (and how he’ll receive the honor in these Covid-distanced times) have yet to be revealed.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association created the Carol Burnett award to honor TV notables, as a companion to its film-centric Cecil B. DeMille Award — which this year, as previously announced, will go to Jane Fonda.
“Norman Lear is among the most prolific creators of this generation,” said HFPA President Ali Sar. “His career has encompassed both the Golden Age and Streaming Era, throughout which his progressive approach addressing controversial topics...

“All in the Family” and “One Day at a Time” producer Norman Lear will become the third person to receive the Golden Globes’ annual lifetime achievement award for television, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Thursday.
The Carol Burnett Award, named for the TV star honored with the award in 2019, recognizes “outstanding contributions to the television medium on or off the screen” and is the TV counterpart to the longstanding Cecil B. deMille Award for film.
Lear follows Burnett and daytime TV host Ellen DeGeneres in receiving the trophy.

Putting professional football on kids-tv outlet Nickelodeon might at first blush seem like something of a Hail Mary. But CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus knew his team had completed a crucial pass by game’s end, when the winning team’s head coach, Sean Payton, agreed to be doused with Nick’s signature green slime.
CBS Sports said Tuesday that the Nickelodeon broadcast, part of a wide series of interesting experiments with NFL football this past weekend, scored. A game between the Chicago Bears and the New Orleans Saints tailored to its young audience represented was the network’s most-watched program nearly four years. An average of 2.06 million viewers tuned in to see touchdowns celebrated by virtual cannons shooting green slime and Gabrielle Nevaeh Green, one of the members of Nick’s “All That” sketch-comedy show, rattling off stats that included players’ favorite ice cream flavors.
