Best episode of a great season
user-3558317 March 2016
This season has been an improvement on the first - which was pretty damn good to start with. This episode has Bosch getting in deep with Chief Irvin in investigating the death of Irvin's son. When Bosch finds info on Dash which implicates him in Allen's murder, he sees a way to tie the two cases together and put Nash away. Not everything goes as planned when both sides find that Allen's widow is about to get away with the money, forces gather at the bank and a shootout ensues. Not everyone will survive. The depth of story writing is superb and the acting is equal to the task. One of the best episodes of TV on any network I have seen this year.

Everybody at the Party
Hitchcoc2 November 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Certainly a lot of action. Bosch and the Chief go to Nash's place. They find incriminating photos but know they need a warrant so decide to leave things and come back with one. They make a little mistake involving a screw and this sets a whole bunch of activity in motion. George's partner, the crooked cop, finally goes too far when he trusts that Nash will help him out. There is retaliation (since they blamed him for trusting George in the first place). Veronica decides that it is time to get out of Dodge and pull the money from the safe deposit box. It turns out that everyone in LA is watching her, so when she makes her move they are all there. Bosch and Edgar close in when all hell breaks loose. Anything that was subtle has now exploded. The FBI is doing everything they can to cover things up, preventing everyone from doing their jobs. Meanwhile, it gets worse and worse with the Chief and his wife (she changes the locks on their doors). Also, Eleanor is given a letter from the Feds which will allow her to get back to being a profiler which really her chosen life. There are some serious changes ahead for her and Bosch's daughter. Excellent episode.

Another strong and eventful episode

Bosch attempts to find incriminating evidence about Nash before dramatic events ensue.

There has been a fair amount a build up to what happens in this episode and it is pretty compelling to watch unfold. A certain character proves quite resourceful, but others are equally relentless in pursuit of their goals.

Additionally there are some nice moments of dialogue between characters that work well. Bosch and Edgar feel like plausible partners and I enjoyed his banter with Rykov.

It also appears that foundations are being laid for Eleanor to contribute to the show in a more meaningful way which is positive.
