Notice that part 1 ended with his winning of the Oscar in 1953 for his fabulous supporting performance in the memorable "From Here to Eternity." Frank showed his versatility in getting away from musicals and playing so well in a dramatic part. His Oscar was extremely well deserved. Was surprised that there was no mention of his 2nd Oscar bid 2 years later, this time for best actor in "Man With the Golden Arm," detailing drug addiction. Frank was terrific here and ironically lost out to Ernest Borgnine's "Marty," Borgnine had played the sadistic Fatso and had killed Frank in 'Eternity.'

I also noted that no mention was made of the tragic death of Frank's mother in a plane crash.

Also amazing that a civil rights advocate such as Frank made such a u-turn and voted for Nixon in 1972 and Ronald Reagan as well. This must have been very hurtful to the civil rights leaders. It was common knowledge of Sinatra's link with the Kennedy's and other well-known figures.

Ava Gardner came across by her depiction of being quite a nasty lady. On the other hand, Mia Farrow came across as a naive young lady, quite unprepared for life in the fast lane with Frank.
