Gemma Foster seemingly has it all, a great job, great home, handsome husband Simon, but underneath all the niceties he's hiding a secret that would tear her world apart, so she thinks. She begins putting two and two together and believes he's having an affair, she confides her suspicions to friend Anna, then to friend Ros, both convince her she's wrong. Gemma entrusts patient Carly to follow Simon, and she discovers the worst. At Simon's fortieth birthday party things very nearly come to a head, but Gemma manages to contain her anger.
It's a great start to the series, no wonder it's been recommissioned if the first part is anything to go by. My heart literally sank in hers with each revelation, she's really being put through it.
I love Suranne Jones, and she is absolutely brilliant as the lead role. each new program I see her in she seems to get better and better, she's excellent. So good to see the gorgeous Sara Stewart too! Love her!
Lots of twists, this is compelling drama, loved Part 1, 9/10
