Jess Franco expert Stephen Thrower is interviewed in this 13-minute featurette that not only takes a look at SHE KILLED IN ECSTASY but also the other films that Franco made during this period with Soledad Miranda. Thrower goes into all sorts of details about the making of VAMPYROS LESBOS and SHE KILLED IN ECSTASY since both were pretty much made back-to-back. It's clear that Thrower isn't as impressed with ECSTASY but he talks about the importance of the film and how it compares to some of Franco's earlier work. Franco's working relationship with Miranda is also discussed in good detail as we hear about the JUSTINE film that was never completed as well as their final project together. There's also some discussion on what Franco was hoping to do with her in future films had she not died. Overall this is another impressive featurette where Mr. Thrower gets to show his knowledge and it's certainly a great preparation for his upcoming book. Fans of Franco are really going to enjoy this.
