Omg that's how....SPOILER

Warning: Spoilers
It wasn't until the end that I realized, and said out-loud in the empty room to myself, "Oh my goodness, that's how he died." The one thing that threw me off is that she was smiling after her mother said are you okay. I would assume him not believing, and her pushing him to do it, she would have felt VERY guilty, and thus been crying at her father's funeral.

The acting is EXCELLENT. The reveal at the end is done REALLY well. I don't quite understand her imagination making it as if she could of at any moment "lost" her father as she was trying to follow him. Why didn't she imagine that he was holing her hand walking her up to the roof.

Oh wait, there is hidden meaning in that. "At any moment, she could have lost her father." WOW. That is done really great, the fact that she was realizing it, without realizing it. This is done so well.

Saved by the ending

Warning: Spoilers
"Lifted" is a 5-minute short film that came out in spring this year and was directed by Lin Oeding, a stun coordinator, and written by Matt Olmstead. But the star is, of course, Joel Edgerton, who plays the father to a little girl in here. I think that this film is really saved by the plot twist in the end. I did not really see it coming I must admit. The film does completely rely on emotional impact and if you are moved by it, you will love it. otherwise, it will leave you completely uninterested. I believe the first 3.5 minutes could certainly have been better and more moving to be honest. Without the ending, it probably only would have been a 4/10 for me. But with the ending, I recommend this little movie. Solid watch.
